FCM is this sump’n covered under warranty? Cause I’d think the thing would still be under warranty.
I think what lit a fire under my HVAC folks was me tellin’ Mr. Prez that if he did not get it fixed now I’d find somebody who could and send him the bill for it and the bill from my stay at the Hilton (hey, I need first class AC!) which is where I’d be until the AC got fixed. Got fixed that day.
Supper was tres nummy! Roast, green beans, new N.O.T., squash and biscuits. We are stuffed. That ice cream in the freezer might not find its way into bowls tonight we’re so full! Ol’ y’all know who is splashin’ around in the pool right now. I might go join him. Or not. It’s hawt outside!
swampy, it durn well better be under warranty - like I said, we just bought it last October, and it hasn’t run a month yet. I’ve got faith in this company - they’ve done well by us in the 3 years we’ve been here, so I’m not worried. Just a bit warm.
You should have ice cream for dinner then. That’ll cool you down. Ice cream, it’s not just for breakfast anymore.
We don’t have ice cream, but my sweetie came home yesterday with cheese cake - that works just as well.
Yeah, cheesecake can be a suitable substitute. Especially since it is too hot to cook what with no AC and all…
I had a slice of plain cheesecake and a slice of chocolate-chocolate chip cheesecake. Now, what shall I have for dessert??
Y’all should go out for ice cream!
I got caught in the downpour. <drip drip drip>
as I approachd the exit door of my office, I could see by the puddles that it had stopped raining - but in the 20 feet from the door to my car (and I move very slowly these days) the clouds opened up and dumped the rain on me (and everything else, but mostly me) - I came home, threw the wet clothes on the shower rod to dry out and am sitting in a partially (but not the naughty bits) threadbare terrycloth robe (purple, if you wanted to know)
This on top of that my foot was hurting today - for the last few days, the top of my right foot has been hurting as if someone had dropped something heavy on it - but that hadn’t happened - so Doc thinks it might be a stress fracture - well, today, that felt better - but my toes! - I must have toe-ndonitis or something, because OW everytime I take a step.
This turned into one lousy day.
Hee, flirting and TMI, how unusual. Special One, you are a silly, silly man. Glad you gave up on lurkerdom.
I think I forgot to wish Papa Tigs well and to congratulate Kat on the lost staples.
Yay for the HR info, Nava!
Had pasta with asparagus, bacon and Asiago cheese. I made the mistake of buying fresh white asparagus, which are always a disappointment. So the pasta was merely OK. Frozen would have been much better.
There was one mention too many of ice cream, so I’m going to go to the local ice creamery. And I’ll walk around the block, I think. (It’s much cooler today and even though they keep talking about chances of rain, it doesn’t look like it’ll be raining in the immediate future.
Back later. Hugs to all I missed. And to those I didn’t…

Awwww… BioRosie sorry about gettin’ caught in the downpour. You need ice cream too.
Remember how I said ice cream would prolly not be et at da cave tonight due to fullness? I lied. Forgive me.
the lectris’ty is flickering - I’m shutting down for now
**MamaTigs ** - would you encourage your darling daughter to check her email? Thanks ever so…
Lo and behold! I almost got caught in a downpour myself. It looked like rain was headed our way, but like I could probably make it to the ice cream shop before it started, at least (it’s a whole minute away, maybe). Made it across the street and it started to rain. And was starting to rain harder. Had to let two cars go by before I could make it back into the house. I just stood at the the door for about 5 minutes and watched it come down REALLY hard. Yay! If it’s like the rest of the showers have been today, it should be through here in a few and *then *I’ll go find me some ice cream. Since I really really want ice cream, it’ll probably rain hard for hours. Guess I could pull out an umbrella.

the bulk of the storm has passed (altho there’s another cell on its way from New Jersey) and behind it is cooler dryer air from Canadia (which is how my friend from Montreal likes to say it) to which I say YAY!
Dinner is eaten, and Guinness poured. Tomorrow is another work day.
Special1, the only weapon at the wedding was my Aunt Mary’s psychotic German Shepard, Gracie. I get a repeat performance in 28 days.
gt, Rosie, no rain here yet, but I’ll probably get rained on tommorrow on the way home from work.
Rebo, your food sounds yummy.
No rain here yet, but a peek at weather radar shows that maybe, just maybe, we’ll get some rain within a couple of hours. I’ve got the house open, and with luck, it’ll cool down in here really fast.
Stoopit air conditioner.
<sigh>
Warning: bitching about That Book ahead. Oh, for crying out loud. I’m only on page 37, and already, there have been two continuity errors, both related to hair color, because why do I care and the multiple times turncoat has, guess what, turned again. Wee.
I had Honeycomb cereal and Fritos with salsa for dinner. No nutrition here! I think I’ll have a Dr. Pepper for dessert.
Back to being annoyed by That Book. Did I mention it’s October 8, 2001, and the series started December 26, 2000? Yes, 6 books to cover 10 months. Actually, it was supposed to cover more time, and then she just *had *to retcon 9/11 in there. Ok, I’m leaving now.
It’s still raining steadily (but not downpoury), yay!!! It’s actually a bit cool out, although that may be because a) my feet got wet and b) I ate ice cream. Maybe you’ll get our rain tomorrow, doggio.
There’s a little bit of thunder in the distance, but it looks like most of it should be through here soon.
Guess I’ll go crawl into bed and read for a while or something…
GT
I got no fun thunder, or rain.
I got no cheesecake.
I got no ice cream.
Hmm…hey!
I got beer.
