I’m 7 weeks pregnant and am planning, when the kid is born, to quit my job and be a stay at home mom.

I don’t like Hate Crimes legislation. It’s not illegal to hate someone-it’s illegal to beat someone up. For any reason. Period. All violent crimes are hate crimes as far as I’m concerned.

Oh, and another thing-I think that driving should be more regulated, especially elderly drivers. Mandatory testing and all that. And I also think seniors don’t deserve more respect just because they’re older. After all, an asshole is an asshole.
I once went to a counter-protest on our campus and yelled, “Two, four, six, eight, you will never graduate!” at a bunch of long-haired hippie losers who were protesting on our campus. What they were protesting, I’ll never know. I have a sinking feeling that many who were there carrying signs didn’t know either- they were simply taken in under a ‘group bitch’ mob mentality mode.

All feral animals should be shot or exterminated in any way possible. That includes cats, dogs, horses, cattle, etc. etc. If the animal hasn’t evolved there, it dont belong.(Maybe feral cats and dogs could be caught. That makes me PC with groups trying to save native plants, but not PC with people who love animals).
I think they should use fire to clear out the thick brush on the nearby army base so they can do a more thourough job of eliminating old ammo still left (the army base I live near was a live ammunition training base. Certain groups complain about the smoke from fires because it’s a “health hazard”. If it’s such a health hazard, close your damn windows).
I have very little sympathy for people who get tickets or arrested for doing things they know damn well are illegal.
If your dog or cat gets eaten by a mountain lion, it’s your own damn fault for moving into the countryside and not understanding a damn thing about it. The mountain lions dont deserve to get shot, but your pet deserved to get eaten (i’m a little too tough here, right?)

I had one button. It said “I’m sorry, was that not Politically Correct?” I wasn’t Friday’s material, it turns out.
My opinion about “political correctness”, is that there is, and pretty much always has been, 10 times more anti-PC backlash than there ever actually has been political correctness. I’ve far more often heard people say “well, I know I’m not PC to say this, but…” than I have actually heard people espouse philosophies that would be considered politically correct.
Which is not to say that no such things ever happen, particularly at very liberal colleges, but honestly, all of you who are having such fun talking about what manly red-meat-eaters you are, and nyah nyah nyah to the PC crowd, my question is, what PC crowd?
The main function that political correctness as a concept seems to serve is as a whipping boy for people who want to poke fun at liberals and/or obfuscate serious issues (such as, say, civil rights) by going on and on about how the “PC Thought Police” want us to say “African American” instead of “Afro American” or whatever, and rant about “what’s next, Vaginal American instead of woman??? yuk yuk yuk”.
Which is not to say that I’m in any way in favor of any of the silly excesses of PCness. But “I know it’s not PC but…” is not an excuse for being an asshole or a racist. And simultaneously saying (as many people on this thread seem to be doing) that you do what you want to do without caring what others things (and hell, who doesn’t like to think that of themself?), and that you “Eat meat. Red meat. Big gobs of red meat with the blood and intestines still on them. Dead animals. Dead cute animals. Muahahahaha you PC thugs” is a tad hypocritical. If you don’t care what other people think, why are you taking such delight in rubbing their noses in your nonvegetarianness?
(And yes, I eat meat, favor the death penalty, support the fundamental sanctity of the second amendment, and have no patience for lazy people wanting a handout making excuses. At the same time, when judging people and evaluating situations, I do my best to remember that different people were raised with different advantages than I was.)
(Also, how is littering not PC? It’s disgusting and criminal, but not unPC… and if it is ever proven reasonably likely that secondhand smoke poses a serious health risk, then your right to smoke, much like your right to swing your fist, will end where my nose begins)

Animals that are feral are the ones that have evolved there. Evolution, if you want to know, includes humans bringing domesticated animals places and them becoming part of the ecosystem.
Let’s take the second definition of feral here, shall we?

This is the commonly used term for describing any domesticated animal that when let loose becomes wild and starts fucking things up. These are the animals I’m talking to.
I’m sorry if people think those wild horses are beautiful and majestic, but they shouldnt be there…and they should either be re-domesticated, or shot and sold for meat, for all I care (same with dogs, cats, cows, pigs, goats, etc).
