What might be causing this Word 2013 issues?

I am editing a document for my Boss. We both have Word 2013. I make it look all pretty with proper margins and everything. I save it and then link it to her in facebook chat. She opens it via the link and the margins are shit. She assumed I was sending her drafts. I assumed she was screwing with my settings when she added stuff and sent it back to me.

So if we’re using the same version of Word, what would cause this to happen and how can I make it stop before I lose my mind (because it’s a massive PITA to fix it when I get it back).

Just for clarity, does the same thing happen if you transfer the file by other means? If you email the file as an attachment, or if you walk it over on a memory card? (Burn a disk?)

If yes, then your boss is using different settings than you are.

If no, then Facebook Chat is altering the file.
