What movie are you in the mood for?

Today is that holiday thingie – like the hundred and fifty-somethingth anniversary of Oregon’s admission to the union. Or whatever. You feel like watching a movie. Which one?

I feel like watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

The Princess Bride - of course I can watch this anytime.

“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”

Westley: Give us the gate key.
Guard: I have no gate key.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, tear his arms off.
Guard: Oh, you mean this gate key.

“As you wish”

Something with a lot. of. ridiculous. blood sprays.

Helldriver it is!

I am always in the mood for The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. 'Cause it’s the best film ever made. Or at least the best film ever made without any women in it.

Right now I could go for a screening of Sideways…with the commentary track turned on. Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church may have had a glass or two before recording the commentary track and they are hilarious.

I’m in the mood for a Humphrey Bogart movie. I’ll take The Big Sleep, thanks.

I could see Hobson’s Choice again. I love Charles Laughton in it, but he’s actually upstaged by Brenda De Banzie and John Mills. And wasn’t too happy about it, if what I read is true.

Tried to get in to see Resident Evil: The Final Chapter but two weeks after release its barely playing - one or two shows a night at the multiplex.

I was considering watching Iron Man 3 today, but ran out of time for it.

RoboCop. I’ve been watching a few scenes that they have on YouTube.

Got a new, bigger TV* the other day. Did some test stuff on it. Have Lost in Translation on the DVR so I played a bit of that. Yeah. Gotta watch that all the way thru now. But I have to debug the connection to the stereo first.

  • I almost typed in “flat panel TV” there. Could be worse, I could have started typing “flat screen”.

Just saw To Have And Have Not for the first time, and really liked it.

I was thinking not long ago that it was time to see The Martian and The Hunt for Red October again, and, since I’m listening to the audiobook, All the King’s Men (the Broderick Crawford original) for the first time.

All the President’s Men is one I can watch at any time and still find myself fascinated.

Just watched it a few weeks ago, in fact.

Cue it up!
mmm

Good movie. Not quite a comedy, not really a drama and not a romance, as such. Kind of a poem-painting thingy – a bit like how Under Milk Wood is. But, livelier.

That is a great movie ! I also like Twelve Angry Men there are no women in it too . I love B/W movies .

I’m in the mood for* Meet Me in St. Louis*. Unfortunately Netflix never got my last disc returned after I mailed it, but I’m a patient man. It’s my favorite musical film and I’m getting eager.

Oh, my favorite musical (not being much of a fan of musicals) has to be the one where Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood sing. I mean, a Mormon woman with two husbands, how can you beat that?

I’m always in the mood for a new movie.

Right at the moment, I’m in the mood for Toni Erdmann. It’s a German comedy (I know! Right?), and Best Foreign Film Oscar nominee.
