What movie is this quote from?

This has been bugging me for almost a week now.
I’ve checked IMDB quotes and a couple of other movie quote sites with no luck.
I can’t sleep…please tell me what movie this is from.

All I can recall is a guy saying “disaster” in a 1920s ganster voice.

Wow. This could be a challenge!

The first one that popped into my mind was Fade to Black, where a movie fan goes over the edge and starts killing people while living out movie scenes. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this, but IIRC, some of his killings are done while dressed as a gangster. Unfortunately, there are no quotes in that section of the IDMB.

If this isn’t it, any other hints? How old was the movie (roughly)? Can you remember any actors?

Ben Kingsley’s character Cosmo says “disaster” in a sort of mobster-esque voice, while speaking to Robert Redford in the film Sneakers.

One of my personal favorites… is that it?

And WOW to you, jk1245 - That was my first thought, too. I loved that movie.

Starred the great Dennis Christopher, also in the wonderful “Breaking Away.”

IT IS SNEAKERS…WOW Thanks Avalonian…I can sleep peacefully now…I feel great…thanks again

I was also thinking of Sneakers but couldn’t place it.

A one-word movie quote answered in 28 minutes. This board rocks.

It does… and this particular thread is a testament to my knowledge of useless things… I can remember an vague one-word movie quote from one of my favorite films, but I have a hard time remembering the name of someone I just met.

sigh

Still, glad I could help, RipRiley.

“rosebud…”

Can anyone place this? It’s driving me batty…
