What Movie Would You Like to See A Sequel?

There have been so many sequels some good some bad to many many movies. But then there has been a bunch of good movies that never had a sequel. Thus we have this thread topic what movies would you like to see a sequel of and why and you can even discuss the possible plot?

I would have to say I would love a sequel to “Red Dawn”. I loved that movie maily because I thought of that plot back when I use to day dream in high school. It wouldn’t be that hard to pull off. Just have Patrick recruit some new big name young stars to continue messing with the Ruskies.

I will add one more question(hey this my post idea remember  . Do you think that my idea about “Red Dawn” sequel could work and be profitable?

I’d LOVE to see a sequal to Dune made…just absolutely love it…and i hate Red Dawn…

Well er uh…I take that to mean you don’t like my “Red Dawn” sequel idea?

I thought Swayze died in the first one?

Probably not because Russia is no longer seen as our enemy. And none of the nations that are our enemies are powerful enough to make the plot believable anymore.

I’d like to see a sequel for Total Recall or MIB, but I think there already is one coming for MIB.

Oh, and the U.S. came back and kicked the Ruskies out, too.

How about the only Stephen King movie to make itself available for a sequel: The Shining

Perhaps still the Overlook Hotel, perhaps Danny Torrance as an adult, perhaps the adult Danny going back to the Overlook and meeting his dad…

The possibilities are endless.

I don’t know. Do all movies need a sequel?

Movies like Casablanca, Citizen Kane, and Dark City work best as individual pieces.

A sequel to Magnolia would be cool though. There are so many open threads that you can easily extend the plot into the next day (the aftermath) and beyond.

Dr. Strangelove. But I have a feeling it would involve nothing but a barren wasteland.

They should really come up with a sequal to Rocky. I mean, how can you leave it with him losing to Apollo Creed?!?

::whisper, whisper::

There were FIVE of them!?!

Sequel? Nothing screams “make me a sequel!” like…

Sci-fi:
Logan’s Run
Soylent Green
Starship Troopers (they could try to make up for how bad the first was…)

Horror:
None. All Horror movies should end in the “Heroes” getting killed (like in real life)

Drama:
Titanic (LMAO)
um… Dead Poet’s Society.

Action:
None. See Horror.

Comedy:
Soylent Green

What I wanna know is, what movies would you like to see as a PREquel? Like they’re becoming more and more popular anyways… I can think of a few
Demolition Man
Friday the 13th

OR what video games would you like to see as a movie…
Mega Man
Metroid
Castlevania
Army Men
did I mention Metroid?

well, i’ll stop now
punksnotdead,
broccoli

Damn, i just thought of one thta could use a prequel or a sequel

the Princess Bride! Hell yeah.

My all time wish for a sequel would have to be:
{b]Ferris Bueller’s Day Off**
I really think it would be funny to see what Ferris and Cameron are up to 15 years later.

I thought Swayze died in the first one? **
Wasn’t it his brother that died and Patrick Swayze carried him to the bench and the commander just looked at them and turned and left them alone?

What a sick memory I have, I didn’t really care for that movie either.

A sequel to Braveheart, but that would be impossible since he died in part one.
Titanic[\quote] funny

Men in Black would be cool.

Blair Wi… never mind
Star Wa… darn!
Meatbal… groan
Police Acad… hmmmm
Debbie does… grrrrrr

AHA! Jerry Maguire

Hmmm, maybe. It’s been a long time since I saw it. I was left with the impression that they both died on the bench.

For some reason, again it’s been a long time, I thought that two of the Wolverines survived - one of the girls and one of the younger guys. I could very easily be way off target though.

Ferris Beuller’s Night Out…wherein Ferris and Cameron hang out and party the night before Ferris’s wedding to Sloane Peterson. Ferris takes Cameron up on his offer to rent a limo, a nice stretch job, with a TV and a bar.

Okay, I’m probably going to get a lot of groans, but I would like to see another Terminator. Sort of a “You can’t drastically change the future, you can only bump it a little bit” type of thing.
The good news is that I think there is one in the works. I can’t wait.

I would also like to see a sequel to Fallen. The time Azazel almost died. What did he do from there?

And how about another Vampire movie from Anne Rice’s books? Interview was pretty kick ass. How about doing Memnoch or Lasher? Or with all the witch craze we have now, how about Merrick? In any case, Interview kicked ass, and I would like to see another Vampire Chronicle movie.

Another Hackers would be pretty cool, one where they don’t say shit like “Wow! A 28.8 modem! Holy shit that’s fast!” I mean, it’s a movie for crying out loud. They could have made up all kinds of fantastic shit that doesn’t exist to make it cool. Like they could have had them be astounded by an “RF high freq megabit modem! Holy shit that’s fast!”

Another Kevin Smith movie would rule. I don’t care what it’s about, just as long it’s done.

A sequel to Seven would kick ass, too. Since this time Brad could be the psycho on account of what happened to him.

Another Spawn is in order, too, as the one they made didn’t do the job.

And yes, they need to do another Starship Troopers, one where they follow the damn book more! The book kicked ass, and as someone said in the thread about that movie, it makes absolutely no sense without the suits!

And finally, off track a bit, I think they need to take Stephen King’s early story Rage and make a movie. That would kick ass.

Willow!

broccoli: There are sequels to the novel, “Logan’s Run.” You should check them out, including the original. Sanctuary turns out to be a lot different, and run by someone completely unexpected.

Lexicon: T3 is indeed on the way, with Schwarzenegger, but without Cameron. Ridley Scott is the rumored #1 choice for director. There is a movie version of “Queen of the Damned” in the works, also.

Hey Az. You and I can get together and write a script for this baby! I think were on to something here!
How about Cameron turns out to be the successfull one, Ferris is a bum. Ferris gets Cameron out of the office for a night at the strip bars… “Cameron Fry’s Day Off” ???

I’m not to sure about ya’ll plot but I love the idea of a Ferris 2. Matter of fact I would rather see that than the second “Red Dawn”. But lets make it a good sequel not like “Caddy Shack 2”. Caddy Shack deserved a better sequel than that and Ferris definetely does.
