What movies are not on DVD?

Orosn Welles’ Chimes at Midnight. There’s a rumor that it’s being restored for a deluxe editiion release later this year.

Not exactly an answer to the OP, but they’ve stopped producing copies of the movie Barfly, so now the few copies that were bought are treated more like collectibles rather than DVD’s. Selling for over $100 on Amazon and Ebay.

When I saw this post I thought you meant Spaced Invaders which is apparently on DVD, though I don’t know why.

Wow, I did not know that. I saw that film on VHS a when I was a kid, and other than a scene in which a family of cowboys encourage North to eat his dinner to the tune of Bonanza, I have forgotten all about it. And the IMDb listing had this unusual fact:

I was attempting to look for a great quotation from Ebert’s review other than that line, and did:

But it will be on May 15th.

I came in to bitch and moan about how long I have waited for Oh! What a Lovely War.

Then I discovered it is finally out on DVD, so I bought it.

Thank you, Love Rhombus. It would have been months, possibly years, before I remembered to check for this again.

I’m still waiting for the remainder of Season 1 and Seasons 2-5 of Firefly

:frowning:

What?

I’ve always wanted to see the seminal science fiction movie Just Imagine, but to my knowledge it has never been on DVD or VHS.

I was reading about that film just last night in a big history of science fiction book. It looks interesting all right.

Cohen and Tate

Roy Scheider and Adam Baldwin as two killers who have to transport a nine year old kid 2000 miles by car to be debriefed and killed, and get out-psyched by him. Long slow character study. Not cute. Brilliant. IMO.

Also, Night of the Creeps, a hidden gem that I wish to possess!

Also, villa, np. I strike gold once in a while.

Dogs In Space… oft promised, never delivered.

Duckman
Rocko’s Modern Life
Pink Floyd - Delicate Sound Of Thunder
The Compleat Tex Avery (laserdisc box set)

I’ve got the Pink Floyd on laserdisc, but not the Tex Avery, which has gone for over $200 on ebay recently. I think there’s one on now with a $250 starting bid. Oh yes, here it is. I’ve bid as high as $125 on them before, but no dice.

Godzilla: 1985–a damn good Giant Monster flic.

For TV series’ I’m waiting on both “Early Edition” and “The Wonder Years”.

Although there are DVD sets of both of these out on some sites, I hesitate to get them due to the wondering of legality (since some of these sites seem to cram all the shows on 3 or 4 discs and offer them for prices like, 20 to 70 dollars).

So I’m waiting for an actual, nationwide release, which has yet to happen.
