What music was playing when you lost your virginity?

**“The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”, **by Roberta Flack, during the Clint Eastwood movie **“Play Misty for Me”, **at the Sunset Drive-In, in the Summer of '72 or '73, in my brother’s awesome 1970 Buick Skylark Grand Sport.

Aaaahh. There are many a day that I daydream about going back in time to recapture that…car. If I had a time machine I would go back and just drive off and leave that 13 year old future ex-wife at the popcorn stand.

It was a fucking great car!

Silence. It was in the middle of the night when others in the house were sleeping. I like answering this question with “silence”—it sounds so zenny.

That would have to be Led Zeppeliin’s Song Remains the Same album.

The Cars’ “My Best Friends Girl” because she was. He got even with me by marrying my little sister. She found out she was gay - lesbian -LGBT? Whatever passes as the new term for she left my brother in law for another woman. TMI?

It was Lard: Drug raid at 4 am, Lard - Drug Raid at 4 AM - YouTube

However i would be lying if i said i lasted the full 5 minutes

I don’t remember what was playing but I’m sure something was. We were into 1976 style Album Oriented Rock as the genre was called. I very much associate the song"Daydream" by Robin Trower (from the Live album) with the event because that was playing on the cassette deck as I was driving home and very much fit the mood I was in. I lobbied hard for that to be “our song” but she vetoed.

Wow that is epic. Was it a deliberate choice, or just what happened to be queued up?
So far I think Led Zeppelin is in the lead with 3 hits.
Recently my girlfriend asked me to put on some Thievery Corporation while we did the squirm and slither. Thievery Corporation is great for those languid sexy moods.

Those are great shagging albums. Also, the first two Massive Attack albums.

For myself, I fear it was In The Flat Field, by Bauhaus. On a separate occasion, I had my first massive whitey to the same album. Probably during Rosegarden Funeral of Sores to be honest, both times.

Just the music of nature—we were in a VW Beetle, and it was raining. The sound of rain on a tin roof still gets me hot.

There is no music I would ever want to have sex to, now or then.

I don’t remember the song, but the DJ was Wolfman Jack. Really. (station XERF, I think)

God I’m old. :frowning:

None…she’d turned off her car before she dragged me into the back seat. (I’m not kidding. )

Big Country’s album “The Crossing” on her car stereo. “In A Big Country” was playing at the Moment of Truth.

Heart’s “Crazy On You”.

Never thought about it before; it happened late one Saturday night in September 1975, in the Chess Booth at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. I don’t recall any music playing at the moment, but not long prior to the Big Event a couple of guys were singing Tom Lehrer’s “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” around a bonfire; the next morning, a bagpiper was playing “Mairi’s Wedding” as she and I said our goodbyes (never saw her again, either).

I guess if I associate any music with that weekend, it’d be those two songs.

Soundtrack of The Sorrow And The Pity.

(actually it was the Doors and it was fabulous…)

It was an eight-track tape of Jethro Tull. It may have been a greatest hits type of thing, but I vividly remember hearing, “Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day” more than once and vaguely being aware that the eight-track was repeating.

That song was very popular at the time I first started having regular sex and is strongly associated in my mind with my first sex partner. She was a huge Heart fan. See also: Magic Man.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler.
