I read Breyers wanted to make a Pumpkin ice cream, but they used squash for the flavoring (pumpkin was too weak, apparently), and they felt they couldn’t name it “Pumpkin” .
I also read that Baskin-Robins once whipped up a batch of Ketchup ice cream, for a manager who apparently put ketchup on everything. but even HE didn’t like the ice cream.

What about ALGAE flavored ice cream ? I have also tasted pizza and lemon flavored slush that my friend (the same who went to camp with me ) , her little sister , and I made . It actually didn’t taste so bad .
That’s a story for later though .

Coldstone Creamery makes a Cake Batter ice cream. Works much better mixed with stuff than on its own, IMHO.
How about vanilla with a ribbon of balsamic vinegar? I’ve heard that good balsamic actually tastes good on ice cream.
Those all sound good except the taco and corn. What do those taste like? Does the taco have hamburger flavor in it or taco seasoning flavor? What did you use to flavor the corn one?
I haven’t had corn ice cream, but the ice cream place I linked to above will have sweet corn and blackberry soon; I’ll let you know what it tastes like (I’m sure it’s flavored with what’s in the name; they are scrupulous about using natural, preferably local and organic, flavors.) I’ve loved all of their flavors I’ve tried. I took the lime cardamom yogurt to a party recently and it was a hit. I keep meaning to try more flavors, but I’m addicted to the mango lassi yogurt, gravel road, and dark cocoa gelato. They had banana earlier this summer - it was wonderful. I think their coriander raspberrry, pistachio, and Queen City cayenne flavors all sound very interesting.

Why, corn, of course.
Okay, I also added a lot of eggs and some spices. The recipe was called “Indian ice cream” and was supposed to taste like Indian pudding. It used creamed corn not corn meal, no molasses, and there was cinnamon and nutmeg in it. It mostly tasted like a strange eggnog ice cream.
