What??? No MMP???

Nava question marks were buy one get one free. How could I resist! :stuck_out_tongue:

From the last MMP, I see that MOOOOOOM made it safely to Ocala, Flahrduh. Yay for that.

In other news, it’s quiet in the orifice. Obviously a lot of peoples took the day off. Good for them.

I got a call from OYKW a little bit ago. He was in Montgomery, aka Monkey Town, where he stopped to gas up and get a snack. This is approximately halfway to the wilds of west Alabammy where he’s headed. He was in torrential rain until he got to the Jawja/Alabammy state line the weather cleared up.

StickyBuns are you makin’ Cthulhu sugar cookies to go along with the Cthulhu fork necklaces?

ETA: Ninjaed by MOOOOOOM!

It has been a horrible day today, the weather’s wet and very windy (same as Nuts has been having, we’re in the same country, yannow) but I’ve been out twice already and have one more place to go tonight.

I was up early this morning to take Ophelia to the vet for her routine vaccinations, they said she’s doing very well for an oldie (she’s 9 now) so they’re happy with her. We got back home and after a restorative cup of tea, I headed out to the supermarket to get some essentials. Came home with some hexmas goodies and a whole turkeybird which will be cooked on Thursday.

Other than that, I’ve watched some stuff on the tellybox and done half an hour’s exercise. I’m having a bath next, then a bit of relaxing before I head out to Fat Club to get on those scales again. Hopefully my day of activity will give me a decent result - whatever happens, I’ve got half a bottle of wine in the fridge for afterwards.

Tomorrow, in honour of the season, I will be watching “Nightmare Before Christmas” and probably singing along with most of it, just to scare the cats.

Maybe today I’ll try to play the piano with a bandaged finger. If all goes well, maybe I can try taking the bandage off tomorrow.

Went and did my good deed for the Season this am. Computer Geek and I installed 4 TVs at the Elementary School his kids go to. The school is now all wired and ready for the next semester.

That’s all I got.

Cheers

It’s going to be a lo-o-o-o-n-n-n-g-g-g week at irk for me. I was supposed to have this week off, but taking several months of leave for the spinal repairs stopped the clock on PTO accrual, so I had to “put back” something like six days off. Pretty much everyone else has the week off, so things to do are scarce.

I discovered today that someone at Sealed Air, maker of Bubble Wrap brand packing material has created a vicious and cruel imposter. Something called NewAir I.B. looks like bubble wrap, but it’s UNPOPPABLE! Instead of an array of individual bubbles, the bubbles are linked together, so trying to pop one just makes the others in the chain slightly firmer. EVIL!

:eek::eek:

Practicing the bass clarinet now.

Just sneakin’ in here before I’m off to juggling club- didn’t get blown away.

Had a busy few hours- the eczema that’s been driving me even more nuts than normal for the past few weeks decided to flare up again last night, then spend the whole day getting worse and it suddenly clicked that I’ve probably got a skin infection (again… had one a few weeks back). Of course, I realised this less than 20 minutes before the doctor shut, (and just after puttin’ pizza in the oven) and I’m off for several days tomorrow morning… I actually managed to get an appointment, get seen (go, death panels!), get a prescription for antibiotics, and get it filled in under an hour. The doctor’s even stayed open an extra few minutes to squeeze me in.

However, the pizza’s both slightly overcooked and cold, and I’m not allowed to eat it anyway for another 15 minutes 'cos I just started the course.

Final present bought- though I ran out of ideas, so just got cousin’s babbeh a stuffed bear (no, not that kind, I’m sure people would object). Just need to wrap it and I’m done!

While I lurves me some bubble poppin’ good times, so I understand your ire, I also have some affection for the chain bubbles. I’m also the person who has to unpack shipments all the time, and tries to conserve space in the recycling bin. Regular bubble wrap, while fun for a few minutes, is impossible to collapse for disposal. The chain kind, a quick run over one end with my box cutter, and voila! Down to a little wad.

Actually, I’m not stuffed at all. Matter of fact I’m kinda hongree.

Sorry to disappoint you, swampy. I would say that my cookies were partially successful. Pictures up on fb and some of the evidence was eaten while some appears online for comedic effect.

Well, anyways, at least the cookies are done! Now I’m off to take a shower and remove the layers of dough, icing, and food coloring from me.

A little from column a, a little from column b.

I’ve encountered that. It is an affront to God and man.

I got to the car fixin’ place at a little after 10 and didn’t get out until 1:30. It was cold in Little Red’s office, even after she turned on the heater. I got a handspan’s worth done on the Neverending Teal Blanket, though.

I should probably pack for tomorrow, but Don Juana is paying a visit. I’ll throw some things in a bag before I leave after irk. I need to take a couple of blankets since the upstairs at SpazDad’s house is not heated. There used to be a small electric heater up there, but who knows where it is now.

Knittage is DONE!! I’ll try to get some pics posted when I get back home.

**swampy **- we’re going to Sonny’s tonight! Woohoo!!! That alone makes this trip worthwhile.

Howdy from da cave! No more irk this week. YAY!!! Dindin was my version of Philly cheesesteak made with leftover roast from yestiddy and chips. Not too shabby and got rid of the rest of the roast.

OYKW is safe and sound in the wilds of West Alabammy. He’s hangin’ with family and havin’ fun.

MOOOOOOM enjoy Sonny’s!

The garage is a bit lighter after hauling a pile of e-waste to the recycling place. Filled up the trunk, and half of the back seat. Why did we even have that cruddy old fax machine? Tech stuff is so depressing to dispose of, especially in bulk. Equipment that probably cost close $5000 new is now worthless and in the junk bin.

I just told another cop story of mine in the “MPSIMS interesting cop thread”

It is just one of those days

Jim

gotti we spend all that money on the latest, just gotta have it toy and in a few years it’s like, “why do I have this junk!”

Feelin’ tahrd. Think I’ll go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until I get sleepified.

Sonny’s was yum. I’s tahred - beddy-bye time soon. That’s all I’ve got…

Oops. The lamb roast is still frozen. I’m going to oil it up, salt and pepper it, and put it in the oven at 225F with a foil tent just before bed. Should be close to done by the time I get up, then all I have to do is cook the sides!

Whether or not it was the latest or greatest, we at least ran it all to the death, unlike some people I’ve known who think a cell phone is a miserable antique if it’s more than five months old.

Work was crazy(Coupon lady, power failure, Photo machine will not print 8x10s) Canes lost.:frowning: On the bright side, I got a new coffee mug from the tailgate Secret Santa.
