What? No Smallville Season Finale Thread? (spoilers)

Wichita. His mom became a(n) [insert justice figure], and they had to move. Originally, Pete was going to stay with his Dad in Smallville, but ever since the FBI agent owned him, he felt he had to go.

I didn’t find her all that attractive. Maybe if she had a chin…

I never saw any of the movies so this speculation is all new and all interesting to me. Thanks.

I don’t think Chloe has checked out just yet. To steal a line from Mark Shallow (writer of the webcomic Adventurers!) there’s no bodies therefore they must be alive. Weird things happen in explosions. Maybe her father’s body shielded her from the blast. He did go in first.

I hope Lana and Pete are gone except maybe a guest spot here and there. As someone said earlier, their characters had gone as far as they can go.

I hope that teleporting girl whose name I have forgotten returns as a sane, safe, reliable character that Clark can learn to trust. She was a great character and she kinda got stuffed into a freak of the week slot. Not to mention she’s smoking hot.

One more thing. I’m willing to suspend disbelief for so long, but how can’t Lex recognize Clark as Superman when they get older? He doesn’t wear a mask and it wouldn’t be the first time Clark did something, well, super. First person to say hypnotic glasses gets a fat lip.

The comic books (and movies and TV shows) went for many years assuming that when Clark takes off his glasses and changes his hairstyle to become Superman, no one would recognize him. It would work for lots of situations, of course, because many people rescued by Supes would never see Clark. But for the usual gang… So, the comics came up with the idea that Superman vibrates at super-speed so people see his face as “fuzzy” and can’t match it to Clark.

Well, the comics (insofar as there is a canonical Superman storyline) say that Lana and Pete were Clark’s best friends in Smallville, so it seems unlikely that the TV show would introduce new characters as best friends.

From what I’ve always read and understood, SuperClark was always pretty bright; but you don’t get that from the way they write Clark. Sensitive, yes. Bright, no.

And I’ll be happy once they realize that Chloe is just a high school girl, and that she does NOT know how to break into computer systems using an iMac (or, now, Alienware); also, unless she’s sleeping with all of her ‘contacts’, they aren’t going to look up everyone’s fingerprints for her, give her sensitive private information, etc… The writers tend to get very lazy on this show: no one ever seems to change with the exception of Lex. Hopefully, now that an Angel writer is coming aboard, things might improve.

Well, that’s obviously because Clark’s in lurve with Lex. It’s not like the homoerotic subtext could be much more blatent…
