Just curious if anyone else tuned in to NBC’s new reality show that started up last night. I admit to watching part of it. It’s always interesting to see how people react to the prospect of 1 million dollars, and this seemed like it might have a kinda cool twist to it. (okay okay…so I’m a reality TV junkie…sorry man)
The one thing I found interesting is before they were told about the money, they were all chatty about how cute the dude was, etc. Once the host revealed the chosen girl would win money, all the talk seemed to change to this. I don’t think I heard anyone mention how cute he was anymore. They were all dreaming of what to spend their million on.
Another thing: the dude is a DORK. He was clueless when trying to tell the girls whether he was “keeping” them or not. Ugh. I got soooooo frustrated. I think that might be my one and only viewing of this show.
So be honest…did anyone else waste a couple hours of their life they will never get back, …errr…I mean watch?
Oh yeah, this guy has a speech problem… I can’t believe he is a defense attorney, he seemed very dumb to me…
Yeah I did watch and because there is nothing else on… I will continue to do so…
I really do feel bad for this guy tho… After a while it is possible he is really going to be attracted to a couple of the girls and the poor dude has no idea they couldn’t care less… I find it very cruel.
The previews seemed promising…! Of course, they know what they are doing and sometimes build up a little nothing to appear like a big shocker.

Yup, I was there – the whole two hours. I HATE THIS GUY’S HAIRCUT!
I’m trying to figure out why this guy is coming across as so inarticulate – I can’t believe that, for instance, Aaron from “The Bachelor” was that much more silver-tongued. It does make it clear that the “{insert name of bimbo}, will you accept a rose?” formula serves a useful purpose, though. Anyway, it must be something about how they’re editing it, as well.
I liked that he just showed up at the mansion without warning.
I like that we have the good (sweet Helene-like teacher Alamida) and evil (heartless b*tch Kelly) dynamic set up clearly already.
I liked that he actually had to go ahead and reject the person, rather than just leaving them all to sit there and not be picked.
And apparently he gets all drunk and obnoxious next week.
I just couldn’t bring myself to watch it. And no, it’s not because I’m all, “Ewww, what a disgusting premise…” No way. I am a reality show junkie all the way, and wanted with every fiber of my being to see it.
No, it’s because I’m already into the Amazing Race, The Real World, and Road Rules, and if I pick up another reality series I’ll be back up to at least four nights a week where I can’t get away from the TV. After the last few months of Survivor, The Bachelor, American Idol, Mr. Personality, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and that one about the arranged marriages which I can’t even remember the title of, my husband thinks I’ve left him for the TV. I’ve gained 7lbs. My house is a mess.
And it’s SUMMER dammit. So, I’m cutting back. You can’t make me watch this show. Or Paradise Island, or Temptation Island 3, or American Juniors, or Fame. But it’s painful. Oh yes.
You see, I don’t like those Fame, American Idols thingies… I find them boring and repetitive… I do like the Amazing race.
I didn’t know they are going to have a Temptation Island 3! I probably will get suck into that one… grrrr…
Oh and I want to see Road Rules, just to see how bad they portray Parisians… and France in general. The only preview I saw was one of the kids yelling “I hate those F…ing Parisians”… sight

The whole time he was trying to talk to those ladies I was yelling “Give him some roses” at the TV. They really need to do something for the poor guy if he’s going to struggle that much every week. And yes, he does have a very very bad haircut.
I always love reality shows, but the new ones for the summer really haven’t impressed me…with the exception of The Amazing Race. I watched FAME last week and didn’t much care for it. The senior talent thing on NBC the other night wasn’t good. For Love or Money was okay I guess. (Okay Okay…so I’ll probably watch the whole thing. It always happens when I watch the first episode. Even if I hate it, I HAVE to know how it goes down).
Is DOG EAT DOG considered reality? I heard them mention that it was, but it seems more like a game show or something to me. I love it too though.
And what happened to The MOLE? I had just figured out that I liked it and then they had that dumb celebrity version and it’s gone…

Been there myself. Luckily they have TVs at the gym so I can still watch but not feel guilty for not working out.
