What one "Lost" mystery do you most care about getting an explanation for?

Libby is featured in the promotional picture for the new season. But then again, so is pretty much everyone else.

What were the polar bears for?

and

IS there a magic box that things appear in? I know Ben said the box is a metaphor but does the island respond to what people on the island want to appear? Or was that just lying his ass off some more?

(and: the island makes you stupid doesn’t it?)

By the way, here is a good list of questions TV.com seems to think they should answer.

Lost needs to answer these

ummm, I really thought that was answered in the begining of season 3. They were on Hydra Island and part of the study of “Behaviorism” as pasrt of the Dharma Iniative. Look at the cage Sawyers was kept in the look up “Skinner Box”

What I really want to know is if my theory about the “Man in Black” is right. I believe he can impersonate anyone who is dead. That means any ghost we have seen is him manipulating people (all the times we have seen Christian Sheppard). I also think I know his name …(since I don’t know how to box a spoiler someone is gonna have to ask me to tell them)

Why so many people have watched it for so long…

Make <spoiler></spoiler> tags, replacing the <> with like any other tags here, like when making italics or URLs and whatnot.

Like this, for example.

Quote this post, and you’ll see the coding for yourself.

Right in the OP:

And yet:

C’mon, guys…

Sorry in advance for the hijack but I watched the “catch-up” episode and realized I will never understand what is going on unless I watch each and every episode followed by an internet study program. The “catch-up” program explained stuff with additional mysteries which actually angered me: “these 2 people have issues with each other that have yet to be revealed”. [M.J. crotch grab]I’ve got your revealed right here pal. [/M.J. crotch grab]

Jeeze alloo, I want to be entertained after a hard day. I don’t want to have to work at enjoying TV. Truly if ever a show was properly named it was this one.

C’mon, guy!

We did a thread a few weeks ago where someone asked how to “catch-up” on Lost. The overwhelming consensus was you had to watch the whole thing. Watch the first season (or first few episodes), and if you don’t get hooked, then it’s just not your cup of tea. But if you do get hooked, be prepared to get very little sleep as you do nothing but watch “just one more episode before I go to bed”.

It does help to have an attention span longer than that of a gnat, and a sense of curiosity about how things are going to play out. One either gets hooked, or does not.

I get animal experimentation, but why specifically polar bears?

Yes, please keep “Lost bashing” out of this thread. This is for the fans of the show, not those who complain about its popularity or whatever.

It wasn’t just polar bears, there were other creatures. When Jack was in his holding cell, he was actually in a shark tank. The shark was later seen swimming when Sawyer and Michael were on the raft and it had a Dharma tattoo on it.
ETA:
Text on the blast door map suggests that DHARMA Initiative researchers were attempting to genetically modify the polar bears to allow them to survive warmer climates

I want to know what makes the island such an odd place. That’s the underlying big mystery, we know that, everything will follow, in its fashion.

I wonder if we’re going to get anything more than we’ve already gotten on that subject.

Smoke Monster. What is it, why does it attack some and not others, how was it formed, etc

SMOKE MONSTER!!!

My biggest thing is to find out what, precisely motivates the others. Why did they act in the seemingly pointless way they did? Why did they like capturing losties and messing with their heads? Why did they stage that whole farce in the jungle where they said “you can’t go past this line”? Etc etc etc.
The show spent so much time with the others being the hostile and enigmatic and puzzling adversaries, but even now that we’ve seen fair bit of them from the inside, we still really have no idea what their purpose is, or anything of that sort.
Also, they’d better revisit Adam and Eve.

This, to me, falls in my category of “mystery most likely to be revealed”.

By the way, here is the first few minutes of the next episode(spoilers, obviously).

We Made It.

Huh. About what I expected.
