Why do you hate Michigan (The state, not the college) so much?
“The current theory that God already exists in perfection involves the belief that God deliberately created something lower than himself when he might just as easily have created something equally perfect. That is a horrible belief: it could only have arisen among people whose notion of greatness is to be surrounded by inferior beings… and to enjoy the sense of superiority to them.” G.B. Shaw in a letter to Leon Tolstoy.
So the question: Why didn’t you create man (or all beings) equal to yourself ? (Pardon me, Yourself)
Awesome. When we were elementary school kids and quite stupid, we’d ask each other silly questions like “Does your mother know you’re gay?”
My question would be, “Am I allowed and follow-up/clarification question?”
Well, depending upon the question, it could do a LOT of good while still in the physical body. Such as, “what is the cure for cancer so that I can pass it on to the medical community” or some such. Or, “who’s going to win the 20XX world series so that I can bet on it and win 3zillion dollars”!
I think it would be interesting to find out the faith of people who answered this poll. I am already a christian, so I guess I look at it as “endgame” of sorts. From what I understand of heaven, it will be ongoing “fellowship” with God anyway, so it’s not as if there will be a …reason…to ask such a question.
We will be different creatures in heaven, we won’t have the same motivations, beliefs and so on that we did when we were on earth. So what we think we might want to know, here and now, as humans, likely won’t even occur to us as heaven-dwellers so to speak.
Therefore, if I’m held to one question and one question only, I’m more interested in it being something that would make a difference to lives here on earth in the here and now. I guess it’s my practical bent speaking.
He was stoned remember?
I would ask: “What are the answers to all possible questions?”
Argent has the best question in my opinion (how were you created, God?), but as that is taken I would have to ask “Really…why do you allow evil/suffering to exist or happen?”
I’m assuming that God has the power to make us in whatever form he wishes; however I am puzzled as to why he didn’t just make us perfect with no evil/suffering.
If you were a tree, what kind would you be?
In five or fewer easy and painless steps what do I need to do in order to attain for myself, permanently, all of Wolverine’s powers and abilities (adamantium skeleton included)?
My guess is that since there is no way this could be done easily in five or fewer steps he would just have to give me Wolverine’s powers. In other words just asking the question would be the only way he could grant me the powers of Wolverine in five or fewer easy steps.
