What percentage of your Gmail space are you using?

It’s funny but my gmail has been at about 65% for several YEARS. And I know stuff is accumulating. 4992MB of 7604MB.

I’m pretty sure you’re wrong about that. Archived emails still count towards your storage limit.

Jonathan Chance - they keep adding storage, so I guess it’s just keeping pace with your new mail.

16% full / Using 1256 MB of your 7604 MB

I keep most stuff.

(um, and what is the deal with this error message from the SDMB- on preview: "Message from webpage

41% of 7604 MB.

There’s really no reason to delete e-mails in this day and age; they take up so little space. Never know when it might be handy to search for something from an old correspondence. The only things I delete are spammy stuff that gets by the filter and transaction notification-type mails.

10%, and now I don’t feel like such a packrat about having 770 MB of stuff (I’ve also backed up many MP3’s that I can’t replace, many photos, and important documents).

Hmph, looks like you’re right. I could have sworn when I first started using Gmail, it said the Archived messages didn’t count. Well I’ve used less than I though over the years. Only 800MB or so.

AFAIK you are correct. I’m not sure why it still has invites, or if it does, why there is a limit.

10%

7% and 50 invites left! I keep real mail, but delete Facebook notifications, non-spam marketing emails, etc…

7% I delete a lot of stuff

47%! Do I win something? Wiffle ball bat?

Still 1%. It went up to 2% for a little while, but the storage has increased since then. Text files just don’t take up much space.

16%

9% And I still think I should remove all of the emails I’m not ever going to read.

11%

97% and have to clean out stuff every week… I get and send tons of photos, pdfs, graphics files, etc and as much as I try to keep up with cleaning it out, a lot of it ends up being needed and it’s the best way to have a searchable database. Gotta go clean some more out.

You can pay a small amount to increase storage - $5 per year for an additional 20 GB.

It increases your limit for all of your google stuff, such as Picasa web albums.

Yes, thanks. Unfortunately, because of my job, it will just continue to fill up. I just have to be vigilant in deleting.
