I love playing Playstation2, but I have a hard time keeping up with all the new releases that are coming out.
So, what new games have you heard of/read about that you’re just waiting on pins-and-needles for to come out?

It’s kind of a dry spell right now for me personally. I didn’t care for Tomb Raider. Downhill Domination looks cool but I never got around to checking it out. Same goes for Silent Hill 3.
I did pick up Madden 2004 though - and it’s a ton of fun. The FIFA and NHL games that are coming soon look great too.
Aside from those, I’m not really anticapating anything else until the holidays, when FFX-2, FFXI, Ratchet and Clank 2, and Jak and Daxter 2 are due. I’m sure I’m forgetting some good ones though.
The game I’m looking forward to right now is Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.
In the future - Final Fantasy X-2.
In the far future - Star Ocean 3.
I loved the original Silent Hill for PS1. SH2 was cool, but a little disapointing. There’s a SH3 and I was not informed?? Is it suposed to be cool, bad, scary??
If Sly Cooper 2 ever comes out I will buy it opening day.
I also can’t wait for Final Fantasy X-2 to come out. I thought FFX was great, and the fact that they are actually making a true sequel has me all excited and stuff.
FFX-2 and FFXI and the new Buffy game, but I can’t remember what that’s called…Chaos Bleeds I think.
Gradius 5
baldurs gate 2
SOCOM 2, Medal of Honor:Rising Sun, and Lord of the Rings:Return of the King are the ones I’m looking forward to most.
Scary as fuck-o. Starts off a bit slow, then you begin to realise the people who made it are seriously disturbed. They got me with both atmospheric scares and jump-out-of-your-seat shocks.
StarCraft: Ghosts and True Crime: Streets of L.A.
I’ll be able to drive to my house! How cool is that?
** Mr. Miskatonic**, REALLY!!!??? Would you say it’s scarier than the original?? The first one absolutley creeped me out!!! I loved it!! But, like I said, SH-2 was a bit disapointing to me. Still very cool, but it didn’t get to me the way SH-1 did.
Oh yeah - the Silent Hill talk reminded me - I’m also looking forward to Fatal Frame II.
Mainly Jak 2, R&C 2, Baldur’s Gate 2, FFX 2, and Bloodrayne 2, although that’s a little further down the pipe. I’d love to see a sequel to The Legend of Dragoon, but it’s been three years and they haven’t said anything about it, so maybe not.
I was looking forward to Full Throttle II, but they recently canceled it :(.
Myria
I’m still a little jaded after the SH1 experience, which is likely what made SH2 seem like a weaker entry. IN fact the designers just took a different track in the gaem and went for psyhcosexual horror rather than the horror experience of SH1.
They got me good a few times. I was actually almost jumping at bumps in my own house (cats). In one scare I had goosebumps and was in a cold sweat. Maybe I’m a wimp. In one area I was short of the “god…make it stop” phase, short by a lot but I had a knot in my stomach.
Of course, only play at night with the curtains drawn. I’d suggest playing on the “hard” mode for puzzles.
On the downside, its only slightly longer than SH2, you have to have finished SH1 to understand it, its starts a bit slow, its much more linear than the first two (no town to wander around in for the most part) and some of the monsters lack the horrific design of the first two entries. But I don’t play SH for combat, I’ll leave that for Resident Evil fans, since that’s just an action series at this point anyway.
Resident Evil scare: Something breaks the window and attacks you.
Silent Hill scare: Something breaks the window and screams in a blood curdling manner and you have no idea what the hell did it.
(I’m bitter about everything after RE2, m’kay?)
I never finished #1! I suppose I should. I was enjoying it, but then it got kinda hard to fight the ghosts. Oh well.
How do people generally feel about Fatal Frame 1? I enjoyed the game a lot, but I wasn’t playing–I like to watch. (heh). Jaime refuses to rent the game and finish it though (damn him) because he thinks it was stupid.
SSX 3 and Medal of Honor:Rising Sun. Both scheduled for late October release.
