What quarterback holds the NFL record for rushing touchdowns in a single season?

All,

I’ve been searching for the answer to this for days…It
doesn’t seem to be an NFL kept statistic. A friend of mine asked me and I thought it’d be a quick lookup. I’ve looked everywhere to no avail. Is there anyone that can help? My guess is that it’s Terry Bradshaw in 1972 but I can’t prove it.

Bradshaw isn’t even in the top 3. It’s Steve Grogan with 12 for New England in 1976. Check out:

Taken from this site:

12 Steve Grogan New England (1976)
11 Tobin Rote Green Bay (1956)
10 Bill Kilmer San Francisco (1961)

Hells yeah . . .

You guys rock! I’ve been looking forever. I’m kind of confused though. Didn’t Kordell Stewart have 11 just a couple of years ago? Check this out.

I didn’t check the link, but I’m assuming on at least a couple of those, Kordell was lined up as an RB or WR or something. Depends on the year, of course. If this was while O’Donnell was around, that’s probably the case.

The year was 1997 I’m not sure if he lined up other than quarterback or not.
