I can actually choose for myself, in a way. My father is some British mix of Scotch-Irish and Yorkshire, so I can easily look like a WASP any time I want to. But my mother is a Saphardic Jew, whose parents immigrated from Syria, with roots dating back Meditaranean Europe or Northern Africa, most likely Spain (What else do you expect from a guy whose screen name means spider-goat. She (mom) can actually pass for Spanish in Italy and Italian in Spain. They know she looks similar, yet foreign.
So, I’ve got the European thing, the Meditarean thing, even the Jewish thing going for me. Now, if I were to dye my hair black, get brown contact lenses, grow a beard to cover up many of my WASP-y features, plus a decent tan, then don a robe and a fes, I could probably pass for Arabic. But, given the current situation, call it a hunch, I don’t think that would be a good idea right now (especially here in the states). A Lebanese (practically Syrian racially) woman was recently stabbed in my community. Police believe it was a racist action. Scary.
However, I might be able to get a job at the CIA once I graduate. 
But, I my dream would be to be sylvan elf.

Anyway, ::shakes off the chills::, I had a dream I was a gnome once and that seemed pretty fun. Being an elf doesn’t seem all that bad either.

The most physically beautiful person I ever saw was a young man whose heritage included African, Japanese, American Indian, Swedish, French, Samoan, Italian, Welsh, Spanish, and god only knows what else. I have no idea what the percentages of each nationality were, but somehow he had the most attractive qualities of each one.
I don’t have any idea what it was called, but I want to be that.
PS - He was a complete nitwit, thus proving early and often that beauty is only skin deep.
Just about anything other than what I am: a plain old WASPy white guy.
But if I could pick my race and based my choice on the social and economic advantages, I’d choose to be: a plain old WASPy white guy.
If I were choosing based on beauty, I’d be a white/Caribbean black, with dreads down to my shoulders.
Or, if I were female, I’d be Chinese.
Or, in the “no-limits” category, I’d be a Tolkienian elf.
Are the Swiss a race? I wanna chill with leggy blondes.
Lithe and muscular like a Brazillian, but tall and fair-eyed like a Teutonic god.
Drasnian for me, so when I’m caught cheating at poker and packetsniffing, I can say, “Hey! I’m a Drasnian!” and they’ll all laugh and it’ll give me a chance to run away.
