I like and respect too many Dopers to count. I am glad to be involved in a board that has some many intelligent and funny people–you all are interesting, which is not that easy to come by, really. I don’t post in these threads as a rule, because I always leave someone out and then I feel guilty. Heck, today I even like the Dopers who drive me batty.
That Winston Smith fellow is really my favorite. Witty, handsome, knowledgable.

He can be tough to hook up with. I travelled from NYC to his part of Australia (just about a year ago today, as a matter of fact) and asked if I could buy him a pint, but we never got to meet.

Nah baby, it’s you. And although I agree that she is indeed a lovely lady from Aquitaine, I don’t see her around the boards all that very much. Which means I only worship at the rigs’ feet.

And I’m still annoyed that I couldn’t get any time off to meet up for a drink either (Psuedotriton being one of the many posters I’d love to have a beer with, along with Bobotheoptimist, Johnny L.A., Baker, and many others.) Christmas is a helluva time of year for a Retail Manager to get off, unfortunately. I hope to rectify that in future by getting a non-retail job. Or getting enough money to visit the US on a Grand Tour where I can come and buy you all a drink instead.

Since I’m in here I’ll mention that I also like jsgoddess, and that I also enjoy monstro’s posts a lot. twickster is also very cool. There are so many good Dopers I can’t list them all, which is why I usually don’t post in these threads…it seems impossible to do everyone justice.
