Coke. No way out of it.
Can’t be something alcoholic or coffee because many Americans don’t drink them. Perrier? Yeah right.
There’s always Tang, though.

Bourbon.
COKE
The Boston Tea Party gives historical support for coffee. Then there is Starbucks. In Europe you occasionally see a sign “American Coffee”, but there is only a 50% chance it really is the real thing.
For a real dark horse I nominate Liquid Krespie Kreme.
I wrote that while sipping on some “Wild Turkey”. Oh, well my excuse is that I grew up in Atlanta.
Certainly. Widely available in the UK for at least ten years. I prefer it to Coke or Pepsi.
Sugar? Iced? Tea?
Barbarians.
Forgive them owl , they know not what they do.
Coke, from observation. Even though I will sit in some 24-hr. establishment with my Sprite and wonder how all those people can stand to drink Coke at three in the morning. Me, I have a Coke at dinner and lie awake all night.
I take it you don’t know the heaven that is fresh brewed tea, sweetened so much as to be cloying, served over ice.
Tsk tsk tsk. Such a shame.
1776 - a black year for tea it would appear.
The martini.
Don’t forget the lemon.
How about Rum&Coke?
Words fail me.
If you use country time, they put lotsa lemon-flavory citrate in the powder for you. No funky lemony mess on your fingers, and takes, like, three seconds to make. Screw teabags; those are for Limey Europwimps.
Powder? What fresh yankee madness is this?
Powdered lemonade in tea? That’s just wrong.
I buy store brand juice and just pour it over the ice before adding the tea.
Please tell me you are having me on.
Nope. All tea, except when eating Chinese or drinking a mug of chai, must be cold and if it is cold, it must have lemon.
And tea without sugar is just polluted water.
As much as I hate to say it, Coke. I don’t like the stuff, but apparantly mosty of America does, and indeed, a good portion of the rest of the world seems to like it werll enough. If you asked 1,000,000 people from different countires what beverage they associate with America, most will say Coke. Therefore, I see Coke as being the “American Beverage.”
And, as a slight hijack, root beer is only in the US?! Ahhhh! I’ve always wanted to live in London, but if there’s no root beer over there, you limeys can all go to Hell!
