I think the Cards will have a decent team this year. I don’t know much about their o-line but I would trust Grimm and Whisenhunt to put together a decent group.
I joked about all the ex-Steelers on the team earlier but seriously this incarnation of the Cardinals remind me of one of the better Steeler offenses the year we had Maddox throwing to Burress and Hines Ward. The Cards could have a similar dynamic with Warner throwing to Fitzgerald and Boldin. Edgerrin James is very underrated in his pass blocking - much as I love the running game, in this case I say spread the offense and run draws with James. I saw part of a preseason game and Warner was wearing gloves, I wonder if this is to help with the fumblitis?
BTW, I’d trade Polamalu for Adrian Wilson any time, he’s looked awesome every time I’ve seen him.
IMHO, Fitzgerald and Boldin are both better than Ward or Burress. After that, though, I think the analogy breaks down.
Edge at the thirty mark is a shadow of his former self, and the only reason he broke the 1,000 yard mark last year is that no other tailback on the team is worth a damn.
The offensive line isn’t nearly as good as the Steelers’ line was that year either.
