What show am I thinking of?

Last week LilMiss and I watched a show on cable that I cannot remember the name of. It’s a series - not a wham bam show. Last week they looked at the history of and making of Tootsie Rolls, Drumsticks, Ho Ho’s, and Twinkies. I don’t remember if it was on Food Network or what.

Help?

Sounds like Unwrapped on Food Network to me. Does that ring a bell?

It was on the Food Network. Unwrapped, perhaps?

Sounds like it might be Unwrapped.

Tie.

Hosted by Marc Summers, formerly (in)famous for the Nickelodeon show Double Dare.

Heh. I think we have a consensus. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s what I originally thought, but “Unwrapped” is only 30 minutes and this was an hour long program.

Ahhhh… FOUND IT!

“Modern Marvels” on the History Channel.

[Emily Litella] Never mind [/EL]

Bah! Make us all look like fools, why dontcha?

By and large, I’d prefer Modern Marvels to Unwrapped. (better yet flip to Mythbusters or above all, Good Eats)

I LOVE “Mythbusters”. It was the first show I DISHpassed.

I’m also addicted to BBCAmerica’s “Cash in the Attic”. Only 100 more quid and Nana Beatrice gets a water heater!

Cash in the Attic just hasn’t been the same since that adorable Alistair stopped hosting. Sure we have the repeats, and tiny fixes on House Doctor, but it’s just not the same.

He’s also an obsessive-compulsive. As a fellow sufferer, that just interests me.

No matter what series it is, I love this type of show. Before I discovered Unwrapped, Good Eats, and the others, I didn’t even realize I wanted to know how all of this stuff was made! Fascinating…

String, or nothing!
[sub]Sometimes I get the urge to answer the thread title.[/sub]

Was Marc Summers one of the original MTV veejays, or am I thinking of someone else?

While he was not an original VJ, you are confusing Marc Summers and Jesse Camp again.

Actually, after a quick google search, I see that **Mark Goodman ** is who I was thinking of.

Never mind, sorry for the hijack, carry on…

Don’t worry. At this point, the entire thread is a hijack (courtesy of my saying Good Eats is the best Food Network show, and others picking up from there).

Hijacking further on Marc Summers…
He has OCD, yet he was the Host of Nickelodeon’s Double Dare. Anyone else see a possible problem here?

Maybe they were just planning on calling it “Dare” before he became host. Either that, or “I’ll go for the Physical Challenge” didn’t make a good title.
