Regardless of what service or even DVD/Blu-ray/Laser Disk/Betamax you watch it through. What show are you currently binging right now.
I just finished Hart of Dixie and was disappointed that it didn’t get renewed. Which is sad because it wasn’t renewed years ago.
Just started The Last Kingdom, and it’s so formulaic I just DDDAAGGHHHH.
Stranger Things, though halfway through I’m not terribly impressed. Farscape. I’m also re-watching Grey’s Anatomy. Before long I’ll probably pick Salem, Penny Dreadful, and Bloodlines back up too.
drewder, Hart of Dixie only ended last year. It is one of my favorite shows and I was very sad it ended, but you’re definitely not very late at being unhappy it wasn’t renewed.
We’re on the third season of Hemlock Grove.
Good lord, it’s the type of horror show where some things are so implausible they’re ridiculous but you gradually start caring about what’s going to happen to the characters.
We tried Black Mirror. I loved it, my husband hated it. Ditto with Luther.
We both loved Stranger Things, though.
Daredevil, season one.
I’m loving it, but Mrs Snowman has authorised me to plough on without her, because it’s all a bit grimdark for her tastes.
I have watched a couple of episodes of Fearless with interest, which is surprising because I had absolutely no interest in bull riding. Or so I thought. I think my interest was piqued because the whole Brazilian dominance of the sport was news to me. And there aren’t that many sports where death comes up in conversation so frequently.
Midsomer Murders. We’re hoping to get through the entire series. It’s some old fashioned mysteries, cleverly conceived (though they rely too much on the killer being secretly insane). The production budget for black gloves is exceptionally high.
I did fall in love with Lady Dynamite last night.
Right now I’m working my way through Star Trek: DS9. Finished Daredevil S1, watched the first couple episodes of S2 but haven’t got back to it. Also watching Long Way Around/Long Way Down (the motorcycle series with Ewan MacGregor).
Third Rock From the Sun. Twenty years later, and I’m still finding it hilarious!
I’m going to start Narcos Season 2 today.
Working on Arrested Development, never did finish the series. Once I get over the “no one ever wins and everyone is crazy and/or stupid” thing it’s a very amusing show.
I see Narcos season 2 has just been released. Probably start watching that tonight.
Man in the High Castle (Amazon instead of Netflix), took a few episodes to get immersed but then I found it really rolled towards the end.
Daredevil, really enjoyed the first season and the second was a bit uneven although still really worth it.
2 episodes left in final season of Psych. Damn sorry it’s over, Love this show.
Also going through Supernatural for the first time. On season 4 now. Dean just discovered Sam’s new exorcism power.
I’m part way through season 1 on Hart of Dixie. Knowing it ends kind of makes it harder to watch. Which is why I’m stuck halfway through the last season of Haven.
My DVD queue is 100+, all but 5 or 6 various series I’m watching. Planning on the first disc of season 2 of Orphan Black this weekend. Not sure what the other disc I have at home is.
On the streaming side, I’m alternating between the last season of NCIS, Murdoch’s Mysteries, Death in Paradise, and West Wrong. I’ve got the various Marvel sites on my list, but I haven’t started them yet. Which is true in a lot of other shows on streaming.
Z Nation
It’s OK.
I signed up a couple of weeks ago to watch Stranger Things. Right now I’m working my way through 30 Rock. I originally planned to cancel when my month was over, but now I’m going to stick around long enough to see Christopher Guest’s latest project “Mascots”.
I just finished it two nights ago, and really enjoyed it. It didn’t seem formulaic to me, though it obviously hits all the expected bullet points for that genre. Still, good balance of action and intrigue, good pacing, very enjoyable. Now I’ll have to look into the history of it to see which parts are supported by evidence and which are convenient fiction.
Other things that I’m not exactly binging: I have seen a few episodes of Stranger Things and will keep working through it a little at a time. It’s not bad, but I’m not on the edge of my seat either.
Also catching an episode now and then of Aldnoah Zero. It feels very been-there-done-that, but I’m a sucker for giant mecha anime.
I have one more episodes of “The Get Down” for this weekend. I just finished “30 Rock” but I might actually start watching it again, before bed. I am re-watching “Bob’s Burgers” when I work out on my elliptical.
Oh, I will probably watch “Lady Dynamite” next and maybe “Narcos” season 2.
Working on The Killing now as well as Enterprise.
