What song is stuck in your head?

Well, what song is in your head? Everybody has one, I certainly do.

Mine is “Jenny From the Block” which is about to make me kill myself because I hate that song, I HATE IT!!!.

Mods, is this meant for IMHO, but I am talking about music, so it’ll fit in Cafe Society right?

We got my daughter Avril Levigne’s CD for Christmas, which I actually think is pretty good. However, her favorite song is “Complicated,” which has already gotten seriously overplayed on the radio. She plays it over. And over. And sings along to it at the top of her lungs.

I need to go listen to some Heather Nova or something to expunge it. sigh

For the past six months or so, I’ve had the theme to Elmo’s World stuck in my head.
*Elmo’s wo-oo-oorld
Elmo’s wo-oo-oolrd
Elmo’s woo-o-rld
El-mo’s world.

Someone. Please kill me now.

Johnny Cash’s version of U2’s ‘One’.
Johnny Cash rocks.
U2 rocks.
Man, I’m lucky.

Anything the Weather Channel is playing during my local forecast (on the eights!). The Charlie Brown Christmas/Linus and Lucy themes. Changes every 8 minutes but rotates every hour.

I’m “weather involved”.

The True Wheel by Brian Eno. “We are the 801, we are the central shaft…”

S-S-S-S-A-A-A-A-F-F-F-F-T-T-T-T-Y-Y-Y-Y

Damn Safety Dance. Been there since '82.

These mixed-up lyrics of American Pie:

Bye bye drinkin whiskey and rye
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Singin this’ll be the day that I die
But first I’ll have som’erican pie

Gonna Miss You - Paul Mac

Forsaken from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack.
That was one damned AWFUL movie but David Draimon singing! mmmmmmmmm yeah!

“The Circle of Life” from The Lion King. Only I don’t have all the correct lyrics, just the damned ending-line melody running roughshod through my brain repeatedly.

Till we find our [something] on the [something] unwinding, in the circle, [full choir dramatic ending] the circle of life…

Repeat ad nauseum. The “Kit Kat Bar” jingle isn’t even helping to drive it away.

Not to mention the fact that I have been thinking that the word “circle” itself just looks like a funny word. Looks like it ought be pronounced “keer’kleee”.

Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth”. Euggh.

If it helps anything, it’s place , and path

Meanwhile, I’m bebopping in my head to Dixie Chicks’ Travelling Soldier…Man, I love that song…

::sigh:: See what I get for tryin to be all fancy with the coding?

I always have one in my head.

Right now it’s “The Boys are Back in Town” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”

And sometimes that song from the musical Annie, “Easy Street”.

dear god…

And I’m not even really that big a fan. Thanks a lot MTV. And all you radio stations.

You spin me right round baby right round like a record player right round.

Also I stop the world I melt with you

On one of my favorite websites the author has a really funny “song in my head diary”:
