I want the foghorn/“mail’s in” combo for one of my PCs, so thanks for this link: it might save me from having to rip it myself.
I have Grandpa’s Theme from Peter and the Wolf. I have a couple other themes from that as well, The Wolf, Peter’s theme, maybe the Cat’s. I haven’t changed it in a while.
Mine is the guitar solo from Beunas Tardes Amigos by Ween, just a fantastic wild west guitar riff IMHO.
“Twilight of the Thunder God” by Amon Amarth
Well, you all got me energized to go find some ringtones. For my work, it’s Monty Python’s “bring out yer dead!” Hubby: Elvis’ “Burning love” , my children, “Addams Family theme”, for general, ACDC’s “highway to Hell”
Tainted Love.
But I want to find a ringtone that is an excerpt of a song that begins with a phone ringing. Then if you let it go on it goes on into the real song. Ideal for this purpose is “Wow, I can get sexual, too”, by Say Anything, because the ring turns into a beat that’s good for a ringtone, and then climaxes (heh) with the chorus of “I called her on the phone and she touched herself”
Unfortunately since I have Virgin Mobile I don’t think I can download random ringtones. The ones available through Virgin never have the actual phone ringing as part of the ringtone.
The Roseanne theme. For everybody.
Default ringtone - Judas Priest, “Living After Midnight.”
My father - Ozzy, “Crazy Train.”
My Mother- Iron Maiden, “Run to the Hills.”
My sister - Bon Jovi, “Wanted Dead or Alive.” (this one doesn’t really fit the theme, but we’ve got a long-running inside joke about it)
My old phone had a Guns N’ Roses theme - “Night Train” was the default. I got a couple of REALLY odd looks when I forgot to turn it off before an AA meeting and someone called.
Mine is the song that plays on the radios in Portal (the video game).
Sean Paul - “Get Busy”
I’ve had that one for a couple years now - I just never get tired of it!
Once in a while, for a little change of pace, I switch over to “Don’t Fear the Reaper” but it never lasts long. Sex trumps Death every time!
Beethoven’s Pathetique part 1, and Debussy’s Clair de Lune if my girlfriend calls.
Thought I’d bump since it’s not really a zombie:
I took the verse from “Stairway To Heaven” that when you reverse it sounds like Plant is singing “Here’s to my sweet Satan.” I used Audacity to reverse it, then converted it to a ring tone in iTunes. It certainly gets my attention now.
“Rubberband Man” by The Spinners.
The witch crying with background music from the video game series Left 4 Dead.
I use that because it means I have stop everything I’m doing and answer a call and not be able to do much of anything while on the call. That makes me sad and want to cry.
EDIT: I also used to use the Skype incoming call music.
“Gymnopedie no1.” by Erik Satie or “Angelika Suspended” by Poi Dog Pondering. (I hate answering the phone so I put very peaceful ringtones on to lull me into picking up)
My general ringtone is a bit from “Heads Will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, this after I forgot to mute the phone during class and everyone was exhorted to “Shake Ya Ass” by Mystikal.
My sister’s ring is Lafayette from True Blood saying, “Ring, ring, hooka. Ring, ring.”
My brother - “White and Nerdy”
My mother - “Sympathy for the Devil”
I’m stuck with “yodeling man.” Cell phone lives in a big purse, and it’s the only ring tone that I can reliably hear in noisy situations.
Daft Punk’s Harder Better Faster Stronger. It opens with a few seconds of white noise that isn’t irritating but is surprisingly conspicuous, and I can usually answer the phone before it gets too intrusive.
My default is the Venture Brothers theme.
But my friend who broke his knee twice in the past year gets the I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up! rave.
This is mine as well!
