Hi-five to Ice Wolf!
I love Morcheeba.
<- by Garbage.
‘Is There Life Out There’ by Reba McEntire.
Esp the first verse.

I’m Not From Here by James McMurtry
“…they say I should have been here
back about ten years
before it got ruined by folks like me.”
“The Wheel and the Maypole,” XTC. Again, only the title, although the first half of the song fits quite well right now too.
Well, probably “Heaven” from Bryan Adams much to my annoyance. I’m just a big softie who plays Korn and Foo Fighters to maintain the natural balance
Bad Religion’s “21st Century Digital Boy” (I’m not sure if that’s the actual title, but anyone who has heard the song knows which one I mean)
My daddy’s a lazy little crass intellectual
My mommy’s on Valium, so inefectual
I’ve got a lot of toys but I don’t know how to live
Except for my mom being on Valium, it’s spot on
I thought it was lazy middle class intellectual?
Oh well, I guess ‘little crass’ makes as much sense if not more.
Either Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads or Life’s Been Good to Me So Far by Joe Walsh.
No Maserati, no mansion, but things are still nice. And I do sometimes wonder in amazement on how many seemingly tiny circumstances and choices resulted in me being where I am now (both literally and figuratively).
Imagine by John Lennon.
Its a nice little ditty about a time when people are just nice and respectful to others. Just because they can, not because they fear retribution. I try to live up to that.
I don’t know about lyrics, but as far as titles go, it’d be “Semi-Charmed Kind of Life.” Because it hasn’t been perfect, but I have been extremely fortunate compared to some others.
Creep by Radiohead
IANA Creep but it makes me feel like it OK to strike out with women all of the time.
Martian Boogie by Brownsville Station
Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones. I just love that song, and while I’m not exactly evil, I’m every bit as power-hungry as the main character.
Oh, or maybe “My Way” - yeah finally getting on the Dean’s list!
Busy Bee (Ugly Kid Joe)
or
Panhandlin’ Prince (Ugly Kid Joe)
It depends on the day…
Just the title?
“I Have My Moments Now And Again” by Blues Traveler.
Stranger on Romance Avenue by (I think) ToeBeat.
“Birdhouse In Your Soul” by TMBG.
I have no idea why.
I will say the same song, but for me, I’ll have to use Joey Ramone’s cover of it. That song is just where it’s at for me right now, all things considered - Joey adds a feeling that wasn’t there in the original that makes it more relevent to me for some reason.
Of course, sometimes it’s Bad Religion’s Better Off Dead too - all depends on when you ask me
