What states/countries have you spent the most time in? The least?

States Most: Connecticut (lived here 32 years now), Ohio (grew up there), Massachusetts (8.5 years college and Grad School, Illinois (lived there 8 years), Michigan (spent several summers there)

States Least: New Mexico and Arizona (I visited four corners monument for about 15 minutes not all of which was in those two states)

Countries most: US and Canada (Lived there one summer and many visits)

Countries least Yugoslavia (about an hour) Germany (slept through it on a train overnight from France to Denmark).

Only foreign country I’ve ever been to is Canada. I’ve been to the eastern US once. Lived in the West my entire life, in three states.

USA: 44 years
Canada: less than a week
Mexico: less than a day

States and provinces:
New York: lived there 21 years
Maine: lived here 15 years
New Hampshire: lived there about 5 years total, in several stints
West Virginia: lived there about 4 years
Maryland: visits totaling about 10 months at a guess
Connecticut: visits totaling about 5 months at a guess

Visits totaling a week or more: Idaho, Minnesota, Florida, California

Visits totaling a few days: Ontario, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Vermont, South Dakota, Wyoming, Georgia

Visits totaling a few hours: Quebec, Delaware, Rhode Island, Ohio, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Montana, Iowa, Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Utah.

Of states I’ve been to, Utah is probably the one I spent the the least time in, two hours or so while driving between Wyoming and Idaho.

I just remembered: I spent an overnight in New Jersey, so that clocks in at:

Reason for the stay was that I was flying Pan Am from Hamburg the day after Lockerbie, and schedules were all chaotic. Pan Am got us to New York on time, but had to put us up in Flushings overnight until the schedules came back to normal.

Hungary (5 1/3 years)
England (3 months)
Croatia (3 months)
Scotland (2 months)
Boston (2 months)
Slovenia (1 month)

Places I’ve visited for 3 weeks or more:
Poland (total between my trips of about six months)
Germany (total around one month)
Russia (about 3 weeks to a month)
India (3 weeks)
Australia (3 weeks)
England (you can add another month or two to the total above)

I might be forgetting some. I’m not counting one or two week trips, as there are a lot more to add.
