I have no problem with Opalcat or Coldfire. Sure at times they’re both outspoken and may come across as arrogent. But I do that too sometimes - big deal. I agree the OP doesn’t hold much water and is more less making a big deal out of nothing. But isn’t it fair to assume that some people regret their actions? I think a modest portion of the onslaught here is due to people holding onto events stuck in the past. (As well as the bandwagon effect and those who have compassionate love for clogboy) Anyway, why not just let it go folks. Or do we have to wait for for the thread to be locked.

pepperlandgirl, I still think you were harsh to Opal, but I didn’t have to be such a dick. I showed no maturity in my response to you. I still disagree with you, but hey, I should be able to do that like an adult.
Finally, I didn’t mean to compare 3F and SD. Like is always said, stuff that doesn’t happen on the board shouldn’t be argued about on the board (or something like that).
Hopefully I have hit on everything I did to piss anyone off. If I missed something, hey the good thing about the Pit is someone will remind me. 
This is true. I enjoy both message boards, but I’m not about to say that one is heads-and-tails above the other. Again, I don’t think comparisons between the two should have entered this thread in the first place.

Since everyone else and their dog has contributed a view, here’s mine:
Opal: You overreacted in a BIG way to Coldfire’s various posts. Sure, “It’s been done before” could be seen as dismissive – but you seemed determined to take it, and the subsequent replies, in the worst possible way. And look where it’s gotten us all.
Coldfire: So Opal went ballistic. It still looked to me like you played the “Don’t fuck with me; I’m a moderator, man!” card awfully early, which, while falling within the limits of your powers and discretion, doesn’t reflect particularly well on you (and no, I’m not even implying the “N” word). And a clearer indication of whether you are or aren’t speaking ex cathedra (so to speak) would help a lot.
Methinks a bit more tact and giving the other person the benefit of the doubt next time round wouldn’t go amiss, you two. 'Kay?
