Been thinking about this song that I loved as a young teen, circa 1983. I remember the video featured a close up of some guy that had his face half painted (sorta Braveheart-ish) singing in an ethereal setting.
The first line as best I recall, was “Had a dream, I was born, naked in the eye of the storm…” The chorus mentioned something about “…sleeping with the enemy, who knows?” (Or something like that)
I know this is about as vague a name that tune question can get, but I trust if anyone can help me, it’s you guys. Any takers?
That doesn’t sound familiar to me at all, but admittedly, I’m not that into watching music videos.
However, a search of the phrase, “naked in the eye of the storm” at http://www.lyrics.ch/search/fulltext.htm turned up a result of “Had A Dream (Sleeping with the Enemy)” by Roger Hodgson from the album In the Eye of the Storm.
A search at http://www.cdnow.com turned up this real audio clip. Does that sound like the song you’re asking about? (Assuming that link works.)
“Shayna… [one of] the most despised posters on this board.” As declared by WallyM7. (And if you want to know who the others are, click here. I’m in very good company!)
“Mom, he’s a neo Nazi! He’s a doctor also? Well…” - an original WallyM7 sig.
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” - Anne Frank
Good God, Shayna. You are my hero!
That is the very song.
Damn. Color me impressed. What’d that take? About a half hour after posting…?
Thanks again!
You’re very welcome, seriousart. I’m glad it turned out to be the song in question. Bookmark those sites I linked above for future reference. You’ll find they’ll come in very handy.

They are duely bookmarked.
Had done a search for “Sleeping with the enemy” on allmusic.com’s site and came up with nada. But now I know better.
Have I said thanks yet?
The song was by Rodger Hodgson, who used to be the leader of the British band SUpertramp. I THINK the title of the song was, in fact, “Had a Dream.” (Did the singer have a high, sort of squeaky voice? If so, tht was Hodgson.)
The chorus went something like… “I don’t care… what the future brings, give a damn… about anything.”
Jeez, I hadn’t thought of Supertramp for a decade, when, yesterday, the “Logical Song” came on the radio, and I had to turn it off. And now, clicking innocently here…
What a world weirld!
