Horrific, yes, but that mother was in no condition to be a mother and someone should have stepped in to protect those kids – and her, too; it wouldn’t surprise me if she’d killed herself along with the kids.
ETA: I see dear walkout daddy promptly set up a GoFundMe page, stated purpose, some vague intent to see to it that such things don’t happen to any other kids. Why does this not surprise me?
In a lighter vein (?), here’s another candidate for mom of the year - the Ohio woman who taped her 2-year-old son to the wall so she could get her housework done, and livestreamed the video:
*“You’ve got the best mommy in the whole world,” Rudolph can be heard telling the boy on the video. “Don’t make me put more tape up there. Now sit still. You can see the TV from right there.
“You can’t clean without them running around, tearing up? Tape them to the wall. You can’t cook or none of that because they’re running around? Tape them to the wall.”*
Probably not? Vague “I think there is something wrong her” aren’t going to sway “kids need to be with their parents” courts (and probably shouldn’t, or there would potentially be a lot of hearings for people that are odd but not dangerous).
