What thread on the Dope most surprised you with its responses?

Yeah, pretty much. Printing to me implies that you’re trying to maintain standard letter forms - like in the link you posted. In other words, you’re going for max legibility. That’s how I write when I fill out a form that says “please print” (or “print or die” or whatever).

If I’m filling out a birthday card, I write in cursive (and rather nicely, if I do say so myself).

On the other hand, if I’m writing a reminder to myself or a note to a coworker or something I just write.

I write everything in ALL CAPITAL print. Except for the I’s and E’s. I have no idea why, I’ll randomly captalize or lowercase my I’s and E’s, so my handwriting LOOKS SOMeTHING LiKE THiS

There was a thread about someone who was upset over how his kid didn’t honor a rug they had and kept messing up the fringe. That one suprised me.

In my opinion, population control is what the human race needs right now to ensure long term survival. Too many people and too little resources = extinction.

I remember that one! The wife was in tears and the kids almost didn’t go on a ski trip. Wasn’t that the same poster whose wife got upset and turned the car around because the eldest daughter wouldn’t wear the school colors to a football game? Fun family.

Could anyone give me a link to this thread? If its not a zombie, I’d like to contribute .

I’ve started a thread on the topic of population growth here.

Thank you.

That sounds like trainwreck heaven. I call “cite?”

I was all over it, baby.

Dinsdale. I remember the school colours hullaballoo and it was his wife. I believe he actual posted to ask if his wife was batshit crazy for getting that mad.

In general I enjoy Dinsdale’s threads because he’s almost impossible to make mad, no matter how many times people try the good old “turn the thread back on the OP and rile him/her up” trick on him. He always posts back in this ultra-slow, semi-contemplative tone that cracks me up. Oddly enough, another person who could pull that trick out of the hat was good old catsix whenever anyone tried to pit her.
