What vibrator should I get my girlfriend?

As embarrassed as I am (in the light of this thread) to admit this I am Kombucha’ShroomPerson’s girlfriend. Thank you to everyone who posted advice on this thread. Does anyone know of any UK based companies who have websites we could look at?(Other than Ann Summers - where we’ve already looked at the comedy-named vibrators).

  1. We think probably just for me… (but not certain what the question means exactly).
  2. Both.
  3. Not sure yet… depends whether I get something I like, I think… but we are clueless.

Runs away blushing…

What about them thar remote controll ones? Anybody have any expierence with those?

I browsed over to Good Vibrations and they also had a loudness rating and the remote ones came in at 2 or 3. Is that loud? Would people hear it?

For most first timers I usually suggested either the fukuoko or a inexpensive pocket rocket or something similar. Not everyone like the sensation of a vibe (hard to believe I know). For one thing, it’s not like a “regular” orgasm, there is not the same build-up. You are just hapily buzzing along and BANG! But I digress…

The Fukuoko is a lovely small, finger-mounted, one speed vibe that is both easy to use and non threatening (don’t want to start you off with something like the Hard Throb Twelve Inch or anything). It’s not too expensive, around 20 - 30 bucks depending on where you go. The Crystal Rabbit , can be VERY expensive.

If you want to try out something like the Rabbit to see if you like it may I recommend the Blue Dolphin ? It’s pretty similar, just cheaper. If you like it, you can always go to the higher end later. Also, if you would like to try something for the two of you, the Cascade was always popular. As a side benefit the Cascade is powered by two bullets so you get those too.

I have heard good things about the Hitachi magic Wand, but have never tried it or sold it.

You can also buy small sampler packs. The vibes aren’t the best for durability, but it gives you a cheap way to find out what you like.

You can also get them waterproof, if you intend to use them in the shower or tub, which is nice if that is your only guaranteed alone time.

There are also wearable options, nice of you are a big mover and shaker  The one we sold mostly was the Venus Butterfly

I can’t stress my last two points enough.

Get a GOOD lube, and get some sex-toy cleaner

Regular soap can really break down the materials, SAFE SUDS is a nice inexpensive one.

Try the vibe out in the store, on your hand and under your nose. If it’s uncomfortable there it’s going to feel bad on your other areas. Also, some vibes are VERY LOUD, somthing to consider. Alot of them now have remote controls with lots of variables, as you can see by the links.

Good Luck and happy vibin’

Just how far away do those remote-control items work? Many years ago there was a toy of this type called “Vibra-Friend.” The business end was designed to fit discretely inside a vagina and stay there. The remote control was carried by the partner. It had enough range, they claimed, so that if both parties worked in the same building, one could send “love shots” to the other. “Hey, honey, I’m thinkin’ 'bout ya right now!”

Imagine being in a meeting when your lover calls.

Hey N4S! You’re back! We’ve missed you. And now here you are, in a vibrator thread…

Oh yeahhhhh. Our favorite toy, though of course I don’t remember what it’s called either. Highly recommended; it has a lot of, er, flexibility.

Get the ** Hello Kitty ** vibrator.

Sybian…

I happen to adore this one…
