Ah, I must have missed that, thanks. It really was about time they implemented it though, I remember having had that problem before too so that’s why I didn’t try to install it when I saw the space requirements.
I’ve got Bioshock: Infinite sitting on my hard drive. I know I’ll love it, just haven’t had the time to dive in yet. Maybe tomorrow!
I beat Bioshock 2 for the first time just a week ago, after picking it up in Apple’s winter sale. I may have forgotten I bought it.
Other than that, I’ve played the occasional game of Civ 5, and I devoured Avernum on my iPad. That was a crazy fun game, even if I was ludicrously overpowered at the end.
Right now I’m pretty much just playing SimCity, with enough WoW sprinkled in to cap valor each week on my main. I may turn more attention to WoW soon; I just got all of my cloth heirlooms (and trinkets and caster staff) upgraded to the 1-85 versions. My lock and priest have both been sitting at 80, waiting for the chance to utterly steamroll the Cata zones.
Windows 8? If so, then I know what I’m in for when I’m forced to upgrade
Otherwise, did you set Compatibility Mode to Windows 95 for that icon/executable? (I also had to set it to run as an Admin)
Finally got around to picking up Torchlight II. Though maybe it will get soon and fail to hold up, at the moment I’m having fun experimenting with it.
In fact I’m sort of irrationally annoyed how much more I enjoy it than Diablo III so far. DIII is a more mature build and should be a better/ more enjoyable game in most respects - I even prefer its graphics. But for some reasons its little annoyances grew on me in a negative way. I still will go back and play Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim or Crusader Kings 2 from time to time, but DIII is just sitting idle on my machine.
I’m not much into thrills.
I just got done going nuts with the Assassin’s Creed 2 games. Now I feel a little burnt out on video games… but Tomb Raider and Bioshock! (Good news is that the Zsofia household just went on serious austerity measures so I’ll pretty much have to wait for the price to go way down.) I don’t like the way I get after too much gaming in a few weeks - too obsessive, and it makes me sleep badly. Plus, I’d rather spend at least some of that time with my husband.
But… but Bioshock!
My friend and I have been playing Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. We’re being annoyingly completionist and while I have Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 burning a hole on my tv stand, we’re still missing 1.4% of stuff in the first one. I am not a very serious gamer.
I’ve been fighting with Lunatic difficulty in Fire Emblem: Awakening, mostly. Now that I’m back to my normal schedule, I think I’m going to try to get back in to actually playing Starcraft II a little bit (rather than just watching videos of other people playing). I was Diamond level at one point, and I’m kind of curious to see if I can get my stupid clumsy fingers back up to that league.
I’ve been enjoying my SimCity apology game, Dead Space 3. That and Planetside 2 have been occupying my available gaming time of late.
Like Terminus Est, I’m annoyed with persistent bugs and simulation issues with SimCity, and am therefore giving it a break for a bit to see if Maxis gets its shit together.
I am playing Diablo 2 with some friends. We made it to hell difficulty but are too weak to get far. Any tips would be appreciated. Or perhaps it is just a matter of indefinitely grinding for better items. Uuuhg.
I have Mass effect 3, which has been going on slowly since release.
I have been trying crusader Kings 2 for months as well, but can’t quite get past the learning curve far enough to get to any having fun part, but every once in a while try again.
Also Sim City, but I am boycotting that until they get cheetah speed back in.
I have NHL 13 on PS3 that I get a game or two for HUT a week.
For an MMO Guild Wars 2 but I haven’t played in a couple months, and haven’t really missed it.
Essentially I am not particularly enthused about any of them now. I am hoping for a new game I can really love and sink my teeth into. No new Fallout for a while
And for some reason I have no motivation anymore to get DLCs for games I loved, New Vegas, Skyrim, Borderlands 2 all have some, but I just don’t feel like it.
There was an unannounced update recently. I haven’t tried it myself, but apparently they enabled cheetah speed on the Test server.
I just finished Luigi’s Mansion for 3DS. There were a couple parts that dragged on a bit but for the most part it was a lot of fun and just oozing with charm. Next up is Dead Rising 2, it’s on sale on XBox GoD for 15 bucks, I figure I can’t go wrong for that.
After completely beating Forza 4, I took up the challenge on Forza 3 while still keeping up with Forza Horizon. I occasionally dabble with Black Ops II, MW3, and Battlefield 3, all disappointing games for me, but good for a change of pace. The problem with those is that the Call of Duty games don’t play or feel like the original Black Ops, which was a superior game, and Battlefield 3 is very unrewarding if you’re a n00b, which I was (and still am). The Forza games, however, are amazing. I could play them and nothing else.
I’d like to play BioShock Infinite. I guess I should play BioShock 2 first.
I loved BioShock but never got around to #2.
Just finished Mother 3. I’ve been looking for another decent RPG to play. I had settled on Xenogears, but the random encounters are starting to drive me nuts.
It’s Bioshock Infinite for me. I think I’m close to the end. Beautiful game. I’ll play it again.
I think you can safely skip 2. It was created by different people and while not a bad game was not as good as the two games around it.
Halo 4, Tiger Woods 14, Path of Exile, Tropico 4.
