I don’t like Criss Angel. He reminds me of some of the 7th Graders I teach, except he is 40 years old and still sticking with the “Hot Topic” outfits.
Anyway, I do admire his challenging of anyone that claims to have supernatural powers. He doesn’t reveal his tricks, but freely admits they are all just that…tricks.
Last year, he had that show Phenomenon, which actually contained one contestant who claimed to have supernatural powers. In order to disprove him, Criss wrote separate things on two sheets of paper and sealed them in envelopes. He challenged the dude to figure out what was inside.
Naturally, he couldn’t do it. Criss opened one and pulled out the paper. It said “911”, signifying September 11. His point was that if they guy could have predicted that 9/11/01 was going to happen, it would have been useful. Since he had no actual powers, he couldn’t do that.
Anyway, he said the other envelope would be opened on the premiere of Mindfreak. Well, season 4 came and went. I don’t think he ever opened it.
I’m mostly curious about what he wrote on the other sheet of paper. Anyone ever hear if they revealed it? I’m assuming it’s a forgotten topic by now, but it always bugged me.
