What was the first film with nudity that I/you saw?

The Toy, starring Richard Pryor. There’s a scene where he is in his boss’s office and accidently presses a button that causes disco lights and stripper music to come on, and the painting of a semi-clad woman lounging on a bed changes to become a totally nude women.

I don’t even know if that counts, but that was definitely the dirtiest thing I had ever seen up to that point.

I click this link and read the description of the movie. It sounds bad enough, but then I get to the bottom of the page where they have recommendations for people who enjoyed this film. The first 2 are Freddy vs. Jason and Dr. Zhivago. I cannot imagine what this movie must be like.

It’s like “Freddy vs. Doctor Zhivago.”

No, not really. More realistic recommendations might be something like The Magic Christian and Barbarella.

Long ago a friend and I were just starting to go through movies adapted from classical-type books (kicked off by, naturally, Pride and Prejudice). We picked up A Room With a View not knowing what it was (interestingly, as long as a film is unrated, they’ll let you rent the movie - or at least they did us). So we’re…12/13 and to this day all I really remember about the movie was the male nude swimming/tag scene.

I believe it was Can Hieronymous Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness. It was a singularly odd 60s movie with big-name stars you’d never associate with an X-rated movie. And the Playmate of the Year as Mercy.

The first nudity that really got my attention, though, was the scene in Carnal Knowledge where Ann-Margret runs naked across the room. Almost made that interminable suckfest worth it.

Female: Body Heat for me. 1981, I was 11. I guess I could have done worse than Kathleen Turner.

Male: Not sure. Probably The Terminator.

When I saw this thread, I knew immediately what my answer was. Surprisingly, silenus had the same experience as me, except I was 12. My parents allowed me to go to the theater with them for this movie but, for the first time, allowed me to sit separate from them with my friend (or brother, not sure which). Thank goodness for that since it avoided an uncomfortable moment. Of course that would have been fruit for a different thread.

Like a Hoover on overdrive!

I just remembered an earlier movie: Colossus: The Forbin Project. I saw it as part of a double feature along with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Blah blah blah, big bad computer is bent on taking over the world; male and female lead hatch a plan to stop it. Suspecting treachery, the computer won’t allow the characters to bring anything with them into the complex … including clothing. I remember the characters stripping down (and the computer saying to the naked Dr. Forbin, “Doctor, I don’t believe you were born wearing a watch”). I don’t recall if any goodies were visible, though. I was pretty young at the time.

My first for both male and female was when I was either 4 or just turned 5. I know it was before September of 1985 because I was at home with my mom and my sisters were at school - so I was too young to be in school. My mom was watching a movie about the Concentration Camps. She thought I was playing in my room at the other end of the apartment from the tv.
I was actually playing right behind her (I was never a loud player, my imagination always stayed in my head). I watched the whole movie. There was one scene about gas chambers. Hundreds of people were stripped and jammed into a room, then gassed. I saw quite a few nekkid bodies that day.

My mom found out after the movie ended that I was in the room. She must have been impressed with my reaction to it because with only two exceptions, she never censored my entertainment after that. I was allowed to stay up on Friday and Saturday nights to watch Up All Night. I saw some pretty raunchy movies at a very young age because of that. I saw my first XXX when I was 11. The two exceptions were the first 10 minutes to Coming to America and Flashdance - I have no clue why. They weren’t that bad compared to the things I had already seen.

I still managed to turn out pretty normal.

Waves to** flex727**.

I got to go to the theater with a friend. It was not far from home, so we got in the habit of catching a Saturday matinee. Come to think of it, I’ll bet that’s why my parents sent me to the movies every Saturday! :smack:  :o

The naked Adam and Eve in The Bible. And my mom even bought me the souvenir program with color stills!

Followed several years later by the bare-breasted bridesmaid getting banged by Sonny Corleone in The Godfather.

Followed several months later by Ned Beatty getting sodomized by a hillbilly in Deliverance.

Oh, I forgot two movies I saw after The Bible (1966): rear nudity in Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) and The Andromeda Strain (1971).

ditto!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - I suspect the red glow of my embarrassed face outshone the projector for several minutes, or at least until Katharine put her shirt back on.

No idea who old I might have been, but it wasn’t the first run of the movie. Maybe 7 or so.

The idea of “Mature” probably doesn’t equate in most people’s minds with “not too adult, but not for kids either.” The Entertainment Software Ratings Board uses “Mature” as the equivalent of R for video games (PG-equivalent is “Everyone Ten and Up”).

There was in Billy Jack. I know because it was the first PG movie I ever saw. For some reason my parents let me walk down to our local theater by myself to see it. I must have been 8 or 9 years old (it would have been in 1972 or '73 – it took that long for movies to make it to our little town in those days). I’d agree with those I’ve heard say it would be rated R if it were released today. Definitely more violent and intense than I was ready for.

I think it was either The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas or Conan the Barbarian, at least as far as I can remember. That’s pretty close to the time I found dad’s porn collection, so I can’t be really sure if I saw normal-movie boobies or porn-movie boobies first.

Zapped. IIRC, there’s a scene where Scott Baio uses his telekinetic powers to cut a girl’s bra strap and her boobs pop out. I just IMDB’ed it and realized that his friend in that movie was Willie Aames, yes, the retarded Buddy Lembeck from the other major Baio project, Charles in Charge.

My 'rents were pretty careful about letting us see that stuff, but for some reason, we were able to rent a copy of the movie Hardbodies when I would have been 13 or so. That’s the first movie I can remember seeing with a lot of nudity in it.

By the way, 12.5% of women over 45 rated Zapped a Perfect 10!
