Quite properly Marley23 locked the zombie thread. As I find the topic interesting, and as I cannot send my minions to take my revenge on Marley at this time (my current world conquest plan requires all but 74 Dopers to be unmonkeyfucked), I am starting a new one.

I am new here, so my username, is what it is. But since it is just the 3 of us right now… what is a zombie thread?? I read the other “what’s your original username” thread, but found nothing offensive.
Since I am asking stupid questions… what does MMP stand for? Thanks for not ridiculing me too much!
A zombie thread is a thread older that 6 or so months… The mods and admins don’t like them because they make the hamsters work too hard!

A zombie thread is one that has lain dormant for an extended period and then is posted to ago. Generally they are discouraged because they often involve responses to persons who no longer participate in the board, who thus cannott respond to the replies to their arguments.
MMP = “Monday Morning Post.” This is a series of threads begun every Monday morning by a group of posters cooler but less evil than me. The specific subject matter varies.
