it’s witches!
The dialog is so sweet in this show.
Black Peter, by the way, was voiced by frequent genre-show actor James Frain. Loved his casual conversation with Guillermo in the last scene.
That was a Matt Berry song in the closing credits.
Song I sing to the dogs:
Don’t whine if you want to live long
I have no use for your song
You hush, you hush, you hush
You hush and leave me alone.
I was really worried after last season that they would run out of ideas for the show. Can’t be more glad to be wrong. I think this season has been better than the first in every way. Giving Gizmo some confidence was clearly the right move.
Prediction: By the end of next season, Nandor offers to make Guillermo a vampire, but he turns it down.
Love it! And useful for more than just dogs.
I didn’t get the ending of the latest episode. Is Guillermo just collecting semen and delivering it to the witches?
That’s what I gathered was going on. Supposedly there’s masses of it around the house.
I’ve just began to watch these series (5 or 6 ep from 1 season), they are sooo hilarious!
(wish I won’t get any spoilers here, haha)
(jk, they won’t screw me up)
You also need to see the movie. And Wellington Paranormal.
OMG! I sing this to my cat as well, but with
Don’t yell if you want to live long
I have no use for your song
Shut up, shut up, shut up,
Shut up and just start to purr.
And then she does!
I love that little shit.
My wife and I were a little surprised that none of the witches were played by anyone of note given some of the other cameos. Not disappointed, but she looked it up to see if we were missing someone and said “Nope”, just some women actors we hadn’t heard of.
Lucy Punch (the head witch) is well-known in the UK. For viewers of Doc Martin: she was the first receptionist. She’s been in successful movies like Ella Enchanted, Hot Fuzz, and Dinner for Schmucks. Lucy Punch - Wikipedia
Aside from that: is anyone worried about the Nadja doll? Ordinarily I wouldn’t be concerned about it being chewed up by a goat, but then this was a supernatural goat.
Surely if Nadja’s ghost had left the doll, there would be some acknowledgment in the show–but after Nadja picked it up there was no indication that it was still ‘alive’.
I don’t know how I missed the show but I just started it (and caught up) this week and it’s amazing. My only complaint is it’s a little too graphic to show my kid. I don’t mean that everything has to be kid-friendly. I just know my kid’s sense of humor and it’s a bummer it has to wait.
Yeah, I looked for that, too. Maybe they couldn’t pull Nichole Kidman, but surely somebody from The Craft or Charmed…
Just to be clear, you don’t mean a talking goat, right?
lol no. My actual child that would have come out of my fancy topiary, had I not had a c-section.
I can go full Colin and explain my labor in detail, if anyone wants.
Last episode of the season last night. I love shorter seasons, but this is one show I could use 20+ episodes of per year like sitcoms used to do.
Agreed!
I am 100% sure I am missing many many jokes, cameos, and so on. While I’d love it if the more knowledgeable could point some of them out, what I do get is enough, and knowing that a show is this great with me missing probably half the humor, is something.
Great last several lines …
