So I finally decided I wanted to register my own domain and host it for all to see. I started looking at a hosting company my friend uses but then found this company:
With 2Gb of storage and 60Gb of traffic I figure the $4.95 a month ain’t bad. Anybody use or ever heard of this company? If so any comments? And if you use another hosting company that offers something better post that here too. Thanks!
I’ve used www.newglobalnet.com for my non-profit oriented site. They are cheap, reliable, and have always handled my requests with professionalism.
One note is that they charge $100 to recover files from a backup tape. Some cough idiot cough did an rm -r from root instead of way down in a directory and caused just a little problem with my site. For about $8 US per month I get 200M space, a bunch of e-mail addresses, PHP, MySQL, and lots more.
