What Is "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion", and Is It a Good Thing?

Topic question is the premise for debate. Continuing the discussion from What were you THINKING?: I’m vaguely aware that there are studies showing the benefits of workplace diversity, but since I am not and have not been actively involved in or had any interest in DEI programs I haven’t mentally linked such benefits to DEI training specifically.
