I agree. Sometimes there will be a large number of new posts in a thread, and I’ll open it out of interest to see what’s up, and it’s just a lengthy back-and-forth about some completely off-topic tangent. I don’t mind one or two posts that are jokes or otherwise not informative, but very long digressions are disheartening. This is almost entirely limited to the Pit, though. In other forums the mods are pretty good at controlling hijacks.
Notwithstanding my prior comments, I don’t agree with this. Trump is as incompetent as he is ignorant, and has a long history of starting hare-brained schemes that inevitably collapse. So when Trump Steaks and Trump Vodka and Trump University go out of business, when yet another Trump lawyer is sanctioned or disbarred, when yet another court exposes his malfeasance, it’s not entirely a bad thing to point out how this fits a historical pattern. This is, after all, a message board, not a newswire.
Of all the posters on this board, so far I’ve had only one on ignore. Now there are two. This special recognition is awarded, in this instance, for being boundlessly arrogant, insufferably vulgar, and completely devoid of the slightest redeeming quality. Congratulations.
