I wouldn’t overanalyse it, as I said, she’s just an idiot with a microscopic outlook on life and the world in general.
She continually interprets “your opinion is shit” as “you’re not allowed to have any opinion.” Such a tiresome dope. Her folksy shtick is way past its sell-by date.
This is not (by my intent at least TBC) attempting to belittle your opinions on Beck, but seriously, if you feel, as @MrDibble explicitly mentioned, that it’s trolling or an artificial shtick, then it’s probably time for one of you to start a dedicated pit thread.
There’s been enough material in this thread for that to be a valid opinion, even if I don’t share it, and even I will grant that there is an unfortunate pattern of unthinking acceptance that her condition of comparative social privilege is a universal so it’s not exactly a one-off problem.
So the number and type of complaints/patterns has probably grown beyond the scope of this thread for some posters at least.

Ok, I live in a small small world. My life has been sheltered for most of my life.
I live far away from a community that is not my near and dear. Racism has not been a part of my existence.

If you are surrounded by people who casually use very well known, very reviled slurs for plant names, racism is part of your existence. The people who use it know how bad it is, and yet they use it anyway. And assume that the person they are saying it to won’t mind. If that is the environment that surrounds you, you are swimming in racism.
