What were you THINKING?

It’s not confined to the Dope. When The Eras Tour came to my neck of the woods, one of the common things I saw from people who were performatively hating on Taylor Swift was to declare that she isn’t even all that good looking.

Well, she got robbed at the Grammys. His team lost.

Whatever she is, how she looks, means nothing.
She’s broken every record there is.
Her talent speaks for itself.

I wish I had some fun talent to share. Oh, my. Now I’m depressed :pensive:

“And the portions are so small”

Only if they’re on a treadmill. With or without Taylor Swift.

Jasmine felt the need to threadshit in the thread about Kendrick Lamar’s performance in the SB halftime show.

“LOL”? I don’t get it, can you explain the humor to me? Are people who like rap funny? Is tennis funny?

I don’t have many posters on ignore but there’s a fair sized list of posters for whom I just skip over their posts most of the time.

A simple “it wasn’t for me” would have sufficed. But no, of course not, something I don’t enjoy must be denigrated and other people must be made to agree my poor takes are objective fact!

I wasn’t “thread shitting” at all. My way of answering his question was to show that I find it irrelevant and uninteresting. I’ve been down on it ever since I learned that the super rich NFL, which makes billions on this game, doesn’t even pay its performers. I guess they think that the honor of serving the NFL should compensation enough.

I recommend you read the definition of threadshitting.

In a thread titled Would rap/hip hop/KL fans explain the Superbowl halftime show to me? this,

is, by definition, thread shitting.

Yeah, answering the OP with, essentially, “didn’t watch it, didn’t care,” is, at a minimum, doing nothing useful in the thread, and is off-topic.

I didn’t find the OP “irrelevant and uninteresting”; I found the half-time show irrelevant and uninteresting. That’s answering the question about what I thought of it.

Please, show me how that question is contained in this question?
Would rap/hip hop/KL fans explain the Superbowl halftime show to me?

AKA, you threadshit.

… what do you think “threadshitting” means?

It means finding the THREAD irrelevant and uninteresting. I answered his question about the Super Bowl, and my opinion of THAT is that it is irrelevant and uninteresting. You can’t see the difference there? Really? Let’s just move on.

In what possible way is “I find it irrelevant and uninteresting” an answer to the question, “Would hip/hop fans explain the halftime show to me?”

A good way to move on would be a response something like “my bad, I didn’t read the OP carefully enough.”

Continuing to double down on what everyone can clearly see is BS is not doing you any favors.

Yeah, Jasmine’s response in that thread should be linked to in the board’s definition of threadshitting to show exactly what it means.

Yeah. Sure that works. How much koolaide did you drink?

I don’t think it was BS what @Jasmine posted. I feel the same way.
A thread on Rap and Hiphop is gonna go down the “these kids and their music” flame road.

This place is not receptive like that.
The OP of the thread might’ve considered the audience. It led to hurt feelings asking about rap and hiphop, add Superbowl…lots of opinions.

Jasmine has one.

do you know the difference between asking for a definition, and asking for an opinion?
