I’ll also mention that troglodytes like Magiver don’t consider it music, despite how diverse the genre is. So the idea of “music industry” probably doesn’t even come into consideration.
Wait. I thought “rapPING Industry” was the topic/post that was in some kinda error.
(Sorry, Wolfpup, but it is a titch too much)
We all understood what that poster meant, isn’t that all that is necessary, if the goal is to be understood?
Yeah “rapping industry” to me just seems idiomatically incorrect: it’s something I’ve never heard anyone say. To me the term, if it existed, seems excessively focused on rap as a lyrical delivery form, which is a weird thing to base an industry off of, whereas “rap industry” is more obviously about “rap music”, which is music using rapping and backed by hip hop music by default.
Maybe if there were a music school whose primary focus was on how to teach people to rap, I guess that could be considered part of the “rapping industry”.
It’s a word easier read than said. I guess.
We know the meaning but it feels strange to say it.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. - Grey’s Law
It’s a phrase a disguised alien, trying to make light conversation on an innocuous topic to fit in with the hoo-mans, might use.
It’s denotatively sufficient but almost a complete neologism. It practically screams “I have no actual knowledge of this subject!”
Ironically, “Industrial” is a genre of music, so it’s too bad nobody says “The Industrial Industry”.
Now I’m imagining a Coneheads sketch where Cypress Hill was the musical guest and participated.
Maybe they’re too busy industrialing.
I like my industrial music to be hand made in small batches.
You know, artisanal industrial.
I don’t know why anybody bothers engaging with that thick-skulled boob any more. What an irritating, pigheaded maroon.
I’ve had him on ignore for a long time now. It’s better to act as if he’s already banned.
Seriously, what is everyone hoping to accomplish. He’s an angry man who hates hip-hop and doesn’t want to think about it. He just wants to complain. Guys like him have been around since the 80s. You aren’t going to engage with him on a meaningful level. Leave him be to yell at streetlights and fire hydrants.
Don’t they call that indie industrial? Indiestrial for short.
To be fair, referring to the Super Bowl as “pass time” isn’t inaccurate…
It is an absolute wonder that anyone engages with Czarcasm. I regret trying to offer useful information to him in the gravity marble music video question he posed. The way he responds to people trying to actively engage with him is just so fucking ugly. What an asshole.
I have definitely stopped engaging with him, due to his board persona. If you coated a porcupine’s quills in poison ivy juice and attached it to a sandblaster, it’d still be less irritating than how he acts toward folks in discussions.
I don’t have time for that, which is too bad, because under the abrasiveness he often has interesting things to say.
He absolutely does - and he’s smart as hell. He’s just too toxic to engage with anymore.
Well not smart enough to figure out how to post a link to a YouTube video.
Has anyone noticed that he seems… Worse about it… Lately?
I’ve also noticed maybe 6 or 7 times over the last couple months when he said something, was responded to, and reacted with incredulity that anyone would think he said the thing he just said.
Thanks for the examples.
