This is a serious problem. My favorite thread, possibly my proudest achievement on the SDMB, is forgotten. It makes me very sad.

I have been going through a lot these past few months. I forgot that I had already addressed this issue. The description section of my profile now includes a warning, a clickable but broken link, and instructions on unbreaking that link.
I repeat the warning here- There has been debate on whether or not I am technically naked in these photographs. They are definitely not safe for work. Clicking and unbreaking that link will lead you directly to a gallery of NSFW photographs of me.
I recalled that thread earlier during this one, but had forgotten the specific participants.
There’s always going to be friction between those who believe that describing and seeking to understand the human experience is the human experience, and those who believe solving problems, both technical and moral, constitutes our true, best purpose. Up and downs for both, but still preferable to those who just blunder through sensations of amusement or offense.

I usually hear that kind of talk from bros hanging out Margaritaville Resort Biloxi. Their Topsider Sperry shoes propped on a table while smoking cigars and sipping on Buffalo Trace. Van Halen playing in the background. They call their cocktail waitress “The Gash”. Brock “1/6 Kicks” Thompson does a crabwalk under and flips over the neighboring party’s table full of glasses filled with top shelf alcohol. All because one of them accidentally spilled some Abita Purple Haze on his vintage Bush/Reagan 1984 shirt. Fight breaks out. No one will go to jail because Chad “Pussysmasher420” Ludlow III’s dad is a judge.
Another type of thread I never would’ve expected to see here. I doubt I would be interested in seeing the photos though. 2008? What in the housing market crash and Britney Spears conservatorship kind of stuff is that? Too outdated.
I motion that someone starts an Only Fans thread. With some feet pics.

When digital cameras were new, there was an SDMB portrait thread. This lead to a long list of other photo threads, including a foot thread.
I’m not sure if that one got cornfielded, but I seem to recall at least a third of it being banished to the yard.

That is the back of my head in a red yarmulke and my vermillion double breasted Victorian laboratory smock. The upper back is decorated with the symbol of the Sons Of Ether (roughly a group of mad scientists. They are from the role playing game Mage The Ascension). You can see more of the lab smock, a few other costumes, and a bunch of weird stuff I own in my Imgur gallery. NOTE- The photos in this gallery are entirely work safe. OTTOMH One image does depict a hen tieclip. This a pun on hentai. Other than that, everything is entirely PG.
No worries, I remember the pic from years ago, and it certainly livened things up around here!
Mage was a pretty cool game when I played it a bit back in the day.
I learned of a website, now gone, called The Trove. They had bootleg PDF copies of a large amount of material from many RPG’s. Among other things, I downloaded nearly the entire old World Of Darkness- all the books, all the game lines. I am still missing Blood Magic and a few others.
As I no longer need the physical books, and only feel the need to keep a handful, I am giving them to friends and selling any books that may be valuable.
I’m a big fan of PDF books. I can fit a lot more books on my tablet than on my bookshelves.
(RPGs in particular.)

As am I. It’s still kinda shitty to look down on someone based on an assumption.
You’re also assuming he doesn’t study because he wants to play games, like all of us did. (Those of us young enough even used the same computers for both!) I’ve asked questions like this before, and it sucks when everyone assumes the worst of you for asking. I thought maybe a different perspective would help, without explicitly pointing out that it’s shitty to make these assumptions.
I’m not super mad, just annoyed. One nice feature of this board is that I have a place I can say something. And not be too worried that I’m being a bit of a prick back.
