I love studio Ghibli. I would not expect most Americans to know of them, even though they may have seen one or two of their films.
I watched and re watched Nausicaa Valley Of The Winds because of the over all high quality and because Nickelodeon used to show it a lot. I didn’t learn of the existence of Studio Ghibli until decades later.
