I figured out by the time I was about 13 that nobody was going to agree with me about absolutely everything.
That would have been around 1964.
But there are also homophobic and transphobic LGBTQ folks, and a fairly large overlap between them and the conservative LGBTQ folks. Look at Caitlin Jennings, for instance, who seems to be mostly making her living these days as an anti-trans activist.

I have acquiesced many times when I really shouldn’t have. I’m ever the 12th juror. Yeah, I live with a persuasive bunch.

But that wasn’t what I was talking about. I could usually find people who agreed with me on any single thing, and some who agreed with me on most things. What I couldn’t and can’t find was anyone who agreed with me about everything.
I think it would be pretty boring if most people did.

His almost unstated subtext is the police just kill people, never do good. So calling the cops about a maybe-suspicious circumstance amounts to SWATting that person.
And that someone alerting the police to someone in a car for hours outside their suburban home on multiple nights is somehow exactly the same as calling the police because teens were playing basketball. He’s got a whole narrative in his head that has zero to do with anything mentioned by anyone so far in that thread.

IDK, I think I might be with mjmartin on this one. Calling the police on someone who isn’t even doing something outwardly illegal seems a lot like owning a gun to me. You’re a lot likely to get an innocent person killed (maybe even yourself) than stop a criminal who would otherwise do you harm.
