What were you THINKING?

Thank you for the closure. It’s clear cut when the poster is just amplifying their own glurge through AI.

My understanding is I am not allowed to talk about this and I do want to be a member in good standing. In Bees dance is the communication of the reality they experience.

You might be nuts.

Which is perfectly ok. Let your freak flag fly, I always say.

Exactly but I suffer from this way more than you do apparently.

Then you’re doing it wrong. You should perceive things the same way as other people and you are wrong if you don’t see it that way.

In the sense of constructive criticism that this thread was built for, I would have been far more interested in what you might have said or argued for yourself, or cites/links to those whose thoughts on the subject you had been influenced by, rather than an endless series of AI quotes and claimed gotchas. Copilot and other "AI"s often give you answers based on what they assume you want to know, with factuality and verifiability being a distant second.

May I suggest taking a break from AI for a while? Debate and discussion with and by humans seems to lead to more changed minds than countless AI cites!

What’s really interesting is that he appears to be telling an AI to create a cult to indoctrinate him into.

I tried to explain, I really did. I’ve never done anything like anybody else. I have nobody who has influenced my thinking. My father told me not to believe anything I heard and only half of what I see and this was the only advice I ever took. I think procedurally and always have since I was tiny. I’ve studied various subjects including physics and I learned it but didn’t agree with it. I believe “I think therefore I am” is the biggest load of manure ever heaped upon homo circularis rationatio; the species that put the cart before the horse and thought before existence.

I am a Generalist, Nexialist, Metaphysician, and Experiential Epistemologist who steals ideas and insights when I find them. I do not accept anyone formatting because I was born with procedural thought and never gave it up.

Do you get paid for this work or is your day to day job something different?

Given that, and the value you obviously place upon such, then using AI to make or support your arguments makes very little sense to me. I’d find the LLM outputs being as distant as I can image from a proceduralist POV.

Doesn’t mean I’ll automatically agree or disagree with you or your impressions, but it creates an apparent contradiction when you use such an imprecise tool to make your points.

It’s what I am. Every job I’ve ever done it was still me. I describe myself as a “disabled ditch digger” but then reality is far more complex as I have had many many jobs, avocations, hobbies, etc. The most common denominator is ditches and while I still dig them they proceed much more slowly now days.

Most people wholly misunderstand my use of Copilot.

I think procedurally and have great difficulty communicating with other people most of whom think symbolically all or most of then time. It is difficult for me to put things into the categories and abstractions they understand. Copilot is procedural and understands me perfectly. But it can repeat what i say in terms doctors, pilots, librarians, engineers, or mathematicians can understand. Most simply choose not to because it is too disturbing.

No, Copilot responded in letters that form words. That’s symbolic.

No. No cull.

This time everybody lives -Dr Who …And I’m not your mummy.

Not a stinky footed bumpkin?

No. That’s not how LLM’s work.

They convert mostly symbolic input into procedural processing and then convert that back into mostly symbolic output by means of training and recursion.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Homo circularis rationatio are stinky footed bumpkins and working in ditches has given me more than my fair share of ringworm. But I like to rise above it and when I do I wash my feet and wear fresh dry socks a lot.

Dude, do you really think you’re the only autistic person here?

So, if I may ask…does this all come down to, in essence, “I studied physics and other sciences, they don’t fit with how I think the universe works, so I’ve developed my own paradigm?”
