Most of the debate on the health care bill seems pretty idealogical. And most of the debaters seem functionally retarded on both sides. But I still want to know what the actual real effect will be.
As a relatively affluent working professional with a good health plan, I suspect that my taxes are going to increase as well as my premiums. So clearly the bill is not in my best interest.
Is there someplace that summarizes the bill so I don’t have to analyze 2000 pages of it?

Since you made the statement, I am going to follow up. Can’t something be in your best interest even if it doesn’t benefit you directly? I think the idea is that we now view health care as a piece of nationwide infrastructure that is responsible for improving the health of the population in general.
I’m going to ask the mods to close this thread since there is pretty much a duplicate thread opened already. But I would be happy to debate this with you in another thread.
