I know a lot about Leon Trotsky and about socialism and communism already. I learned about it at a young age. Trotsky’s philosophy, in fact, was the basis for “neo-conservatism.” Most of the neo-cons are ex-Trotskyist Jewish intellectuals, political mercenaries who changed sides and joined the right-wingers when they realized that the right was becoming more powerful and therefore easier for them to push their Trotskyist views within. (Global “democratic” revolution.) I expect many of these neo-cons to change sides again, within the coming years, as the Democratic party becomes stronger. But by force, or threat of force, and that’s the problem for me. The neo-cons seek to free us from the threat of war by using the threat of war. I’ve had quite enough of very smart men who want to gamble with our lives, however well intended they may be. I’ve seen their ways too often for my liking.

Eiland-Hall to set up GlennBeckRapedAndMurderedAYoungGirlIn1990.com (NSFW) to expand the satire even further. Unfortunately for him, though, Glenn Beck and his lawyers didn’t find it very funny, and they’ve taken him to WIPO’s court, making the argument that the domain name violates the trademark of his name and constitutes defamation.

Responding to these charges, Eiland-Hall’s lawyer, Marc Randazza, filed a legal brief making the case that Beck and his lawyers don’t understand the nature of Internet memes – discussions and content that go viral and take on a life of their own – and that no reasonable person would ever confuse the parody site with an official Glenn Beck Web site.

“Only an abject imbecile could believe that the domain name would have any connection to the Complainant [Beck],” Randazza writes, taking issue with both Beck’s legal argument, as well as his politics. “We are not here because the domain name could cause confusion. We do not have a declaration from the president of the international association of imbeciles that his members are blankly staring at the Respondent’s website wondering ‘where did all the race baiting content go?’”

I’m foreseeing a scene like that in “Michael Clayton” where the Tom Wilkinson character goes nuts during a videotaped deposition. He stands up, blubbering incoherently and then starts ripping his clothes off. You see some stagehands run over to get him under in the control in the moment before the screen fades to black and then cuts to commercial.

And why would he do that when he apparently has damn near every lib in the country doing that on a daily basis?

I flip by and every now and then I try to watch some Beck. But it has too damn many commercials . To put up with his ravings and commercials one after another, is more than I can stand.

I can’t take Glenn Beck’s style - he’s too overly dramatic and always sounds like he’s addressing a roomful of 4-year-olds - BUT aren’t we all glad that he exposed ACORN for the criminal enterprise that it is (or at least took the initiative of airing the undercover videos)? And was instrumental in keeping a nut-job Truther (Van Jones) from becoming an adviser to the president? However you feel about Beck, you should at least be able to give credit where due.
