Once a Hero (the TV series), especially if they included the unaired shows.
Earthworm Jim, and a Widescreen print of The Shadow.

Ken Russell’s The Devils. Warner Brothers has been embarrassed by this film since it’s initial release, and it’s only currently available via a bootleg that crops the 2:40 widescreen photography to 1:85. The studio has been touring a digital projection print as of late, though, so it’s possible they have plans to finally release it. It would also be cool to get a commentary track from Russell, who is rumored to be of poor health.
With the original music, right?
just fyi, The rest of Rocky and Bullwinkle is coming as well, a full 5V set and Vol 5 alone.
I’m over the moon because I have a copy of Adam’s Woman, Warner Bros has a dvd on demand area, and Sony Columbia has a similar section on their website. They aren’t beautiful boxed set with lots of features and commentary, but if you just want the dvd, it’s awesome.
Thanks for the good news about the stand-alone Season 5 set. I read a review of the new box set just a couple of weeks ago that said that would be the only way to get Season 5. I’m happy to see that it was wrong!
The OP asked what I’d buy. Have you tried to find copies for sale? and seen what they cost if you can?
- Rivette’s Out 1 and Duelle (une Quarantaine)
- Yang’s A Brighter Summer Day (though I’m pretty sure a DVD of this is in the works)
- Wang Bing’s Tie Xi Qu: West of the Tracks
- various titles by Lav Diaz and Marguerite Duras
“The Day The Clown Cried”
Heh, heh, heh.
The ONLY DVDs I’ve ever bought right out of the chute were *Let the Right One In *and Venture Bros. Seasons 2 and 3. I’m not chomping at the bit right now, though I probably would be if *London After Midnight *ever showed up. (By all accounts, it really wasn’t that much of a movie, but still.)
MTV’s Daria
That “Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available” has been there about 5 years.
The Wonder Years
MTV’s Undressed
Don’t judge me.
Ditto. The music goes without saying.
It came out in May.
Far as I’m aware, they’ve only been released on a zone 2 DVD as two separate movies - not the joint edition I’m after. I’ve just checked Amazon UK again, and that does seem to be the case. I read somewhere that a zone 2 blu-ray disc was available with both movies together, but I don’t have a blu-ray player, so that’s not much help to me.
Daria: The Complete Animated Series. Saw it in Best Buy last week. I believe they had to replace a lot of the non-original music (no one bothered to reserve the home-video release rights back then), but at least you can get the show.
Unfortunately, it’s looking like they’ll never bother to release a complete Sifl & Olly collection. Already have the unreleased Season 3 DVD, but I want all that early stuff!
Brimstone.
